CHAEYEONG'S POV:

As our debut with Midday approached, our fanbase continued to grow. Stray Kids had mentioned us multiple times, and it was common knowledge that Felix and I were dating, along with Ji-ah and Chan (although I wasn't sure if their relationship was real or fake at this point).

"Great job, everyone!" I exclaimed as we went through our dance routine once again. We had been practising for hours and still had a lot to cover.

"Unnie, can we take a break?" Sei asked, heading to get some water.

"We just have the last verse to go over in the song, and then we can take a lunch break, alright?" I replied, encouraging the members to keep going. All the members got back into position, the music started, and we continued practising.

3 MONTHS LATER:

Our debut was less than a month away. The music video had been filmed, and news about Felix and me had spread like wildfire. Unfortunately, that meant I also received a lot of hate and had to deal with sasaeng fans trying to invade our dorm.

"Alright, girls, let's go over the intro once more!" I called out. We had been invited to perform at the MMA (Melon Music Awards), so we had to create a variation of our original choreography. There was a loud knock on the studio door, and our teacher turned down the music.

"Hi, Chae. Are you all doing alright?" a familiar face appeared through a small opening in the door.

"Felix!" I exclaimed, excited to see him. Despite being close to the other members, we still had to keep our relationship a secret. Only Stray Kids and we knew it was fake. Felix was holding a big bag of snacks.

"Aw, Felix, you're so sweet, baby!" I said, cringing internally at the forced act. I had been instructed to be overly affectionate with him whenever others were around.

"Share these snacks with the members and boost your energy levels," he said sweetly, looking at me with his big brown puppy dog eyes. I smiled back at him before turning to face the members, who were staring at us intently.

"What?" I asked, noticing their expressions.

"You're so lucky, you know that, right?" Sei said, and I turned back to look at Felix. His expression was hard to read, but we locked eyes, and he gave me a slight smile.

FELIX'S POV:

Chan was sitting at his computer in the kitchen when he suddenly jumped up from his chair.

"Midday's debut has been announced!" he exclaimed.

"Really?" I shouted back, stumbling my way there. The article mainly talked about JYP management but occasionally mentioned the talents of the members. The rest of our members quickly gathered around the kitchen table, reading through the article. There wasn't much time left for us to spend together. I needed to make the most of it. Soon after the debut dates were released, I hurriedly called Chae...

"Hi Lix, do you need something?" she answered the phone with a tired voice.

"Are you still at practice?"

"Yeah, um, about that," she started, mumbling with her members in the background,

"Would it be okay for me to stay the night at your place again?"

"Yeah, of course, Chae, anytime," I said, smiling slightly. Not much time passed before I received a text from Chae saying that she was outside. I hurried down to open the door, and there she stood.

"Hey, I'm so sorry for staying here all the time," she said as soon as I opened the door, wearing an apologetic smile. I grinned back.

"Don't apologize for that. I know practice is exhausting right now." With that, we both made our way up the stairs. The dorm was filled with loud sounds as we entered.

"Guys, Chae is staying over!" I announced, trying to get their attention and stop the commotion. One by one, their heads popped up in the hallway.

"Hi, guys," she greeted calmly, taking off her outer clothes.

"Do you want to sleep right away?" I asked her once she was done.

"I'll go to sleep when you guys do. I don't want you to be quiet on my account."

"Hey, don't even worry about that. Go to sleep if you're tired. You've worked so hard," Hyunjin said, and I noticed Chae's cheeks turning pink. She looked down and said,

"Thank you, then I'll head off to sleep. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Chae," Hyunjin said as she headed to my and Chan's room. Hyunjin was smiling as he returned to whatever they were doing. Their interaction made my heart ache. It was an unusual feeling, and I wouldn't say I liked it.

Chan Hyung and I stayed up late in the living room, working on a mixtape. All of a sudden, we heard slow footsteps approaching.

"Why are you guys still awake?" a tired, soft voice asked. We turned around to find Chae-Young standing there, wearing my T-shirt.

"Is that my shirt, Chae?" I asked, and she slowly looked down, her eyes widening.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't have any clothes to sleep in, so I just took something from your closet." I blushed slightly at the sight of her wearing my shirt.

"I don't mind... Not at all," I replied, feeling my cheeks grow warmer. She gave me a cheerful smile as she made her way towards us.

"What are you guys working on?" she asked, sitting next to me on the sofa.

"Just something," I answered, looking over at Chan Hyung.

"Felix is working on a mixtape all by himself," Chan explained, looking at Chae.

"Really, Felix? That's so cool! Can I have a listen?" I nodded slightly and pressed play.

"That's so good!" Chae complimented me, causing my cheeks to turn an even deeper shade of pink.

"Are you blushing, Lixie? Oh my god, you totally are!" she teased.

"N-no, I'm not," I stammered, looking away. She playfully grabbed my cheek and turned my face back toward her.

"Your face is so hot. You're definitely blushing."

"My face is what?" I asked, smiling, seizing the perfect opportunity to tease her back and get some revenge.

"You have a cute face, Felix, but maybe one day you'll be 'hot'," Chae said, winking.

"Cute, huh?" I scoffed, turning to Chan for reassurance.

"Yeah, mate

, you're adorable," Chan said, squeezing my cheek and mimicking Chae's words. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Chae.

"Why aren't you sleeping, anyway, Chae?"

"I couldn't."

"Wanna try again?" I asked, extending my arm and inviting her in for a hug. She hugged me, resting her head against my chest. We went to our bedroom, lying in my bed, cuddling as we drifted off to sleep.

She smells amazing.
