"So what brings you to kids by?" Walter asks while pouring coffee into his mug.
"Well Walter, Zeke says, we are kind of hoping You could answer some questions that we have? "
"Oh, questions?" Walter asked.
"Well for starters, could you possibly tell us when you joined the pack?" Zeke asked.
"I'm an original kid," Walter answered.
"What are originals?" Red asked.
"You aren't from around here are you kiddo? Well the originals or the families that start of the pack. There was us the Elliots then there was the Grangers and the Frederick and of course the Adlers." Walter explained
"Adlers? Zeke asked I have never heard that name before."
"That's my last name." Red says.
"I thought so. You look so much like Katherine." Walter said.
"Well thank you, she is my granny," Red says blushing.
"Why don't you two go talk to the beautiful Katherine Adler," Walter suggested. "She will more answers for you then I do."
"Before we go talk to Granny can you please tell us what you know?" Red asked.
"I'm sorry kids but I don't want to tell you something I shouldn't please go talk to cat she's not only other one that is still around," Walter begs
"OK Walt but we will be back." Zeke says
Zeke and Red excuse themselves and head straight to Granny's. Red doesn't even bother to knock on the door. She opened the door walked right in yelling "Granny!" Red walks into the kitchen.
"Well hello kiddo, I wasn't expecting you today. You need something?" Granny asked.
"Hi Granny, I'm here too." Zeke says.
"Oh, hello Zeke nice to see you." Granny says.
"Nice to see you too Granny." Zeke politely responds.
"Ok Granny enough with the politeness," Red says sitting down at the table.
"Oh this sounds serious," Granny says standing up. Is this a coffee or a tea situation?" Granny asked.
"I don't know Granny. It depends on the information you can give." Red answers.
"Ok well what do you kids wish to know?" Granny asked.
"How can you be an original? Zeke asked. I understand everything you have done to help the pack. But you have to have wolf blood to be in a pack." Zeke explains.
"Yes Zeke, I know the code, just like I knew it wouldn't be long until the two of you would be poking around." Granny says. So who was it?"
"Walter. Now could you please answer Zeke's question?" Red snaps at Granny growing more frustrated with the run around.
"That geezer!" Granny scolds, "well the best explanation I can give you is that, that's what the hood is for."
"My hood?" Red asked with even more confusion.
"Yes sweetheart, your hood." Granny says. Your hood is special, it keeps the wolf at bay." She explains.
"Magic really come on Granny tell us the truth please," Red insisted Granny is making it all up.
"Red please, that is the truth." Granny says.
"OK I will bite. How is it magic? what does it do?" Red ask thanking granny is losing her mind.
"Well sweets, it hides your side as long as you have it on. My daddy got it from a witch when I was little I wore it until I got married, same with Grace. Daddy got me the hood so I could go to school and get an education," Granny explains.
"Wait, what? You're the wolf." Zeke says in surprise.
"So is Red." granny said.
"How can I be a wolf and not know it." Red asked.
"Give me the hood if you don't believe me." Granny says.
" ok fine, Red says, here take my hood." read says handing the hood to granny. " happy now? see I told you I'm not a wolf."
"Umm, Red, Zeke shudders.
"What?" Red asked in an irritated voice.
"Go look in the mirror." Zeke says.
"What? Why? What is wrong with me?" Red asked standing up from the table.
Red then heads down the hall to the bathroom. As Red enters the bathroom she turned to into look in the mirror. She did not even recognize herself, with her wolf like ears. Red runs back to the kitchen
"Give me my hood back please." Red asked Granny.
"See I told you Granny said handing Red's hood back.
"Why?" she asks Granny while putting her hood back on.
"Why? What?" Granny asks.
"Why all the secrets?" Red asked.
"We did it for your daddy sweetheart." Granny said. "He went crazy when Zeke started the transformation. Your mom and I didn't know how he would act so we passed a hood onto you." Granny explains.
"Ok Granny enough of the tidbits tell us the whole story please. Red insist
"Well that's gonna take a while let's move to the living room. I will call your mom's and then order some pasta. I will meet you in the living room." Granny instructed.
Red and Zeke move to the big comfy couch, leaving the recliner opened for Granny. They sit and listen to Granny's side of the phone conversations.
The first call was for pasta.
"Hey Shelia, it's Kat."
"Yeah sound like business is going well at least."
"Yes but I need to double it."
"Umm, no I think we will be good with the double order of pasta."
"Alright, thank you Shelia."
"Yup see you Monday."
There was a brief silence before Granny started talking again. They had a lot harder time hearing the next phone conversation. They sat silently so they could hear.
"Hey Pen, it's Katherine"
"Oh I was just calling to let you know the kids are here."
"Oh yes please."
"No I think I have it covered."
"Alright you too."
"I wish we could hear the other side of that conversation." Zeke says.
"Shh, she's calling my mom now." Red whispers.
"Hey sweetheart, it's mom."
"Yeah, Red knows."
"She and Zeke are here."
"Ok, love you." Granny hangs up the phone and heads to the living room.
