Y/N POV

1 week later

It was approximately 10:00 a.m., and I was sprawled out on my bed with my headphones on, listening to Heat Waves by Glass Animals, which I could relate to at the time. It's been a week and I still can't stop thinking about her and that day, but I can't lie, I miss her a lot. She hasn't tried to contact me, and I wasn't going to, but maybe it's for the best. I sat up and sat on my bed because I was bored out of my mind. I had decided to take a year off from college and now I had nothing to do.

Just then my phone dinged

Tyson: hey want to get a coffee or something?

Tyson texting me was like a prayer being answered I needed a distraction from my mess of a life and I just needed to get out of the house.

me: sure I'm actually in need for some

Tyson: ok great I'll come pick you up in a couple of minutes ok?

me: yea I'll be ready

As I lay my phone on the dresser, I begin to get dressed. I put on a plain white tee and blue jeans, throw my hair up in a messy bun, and apply mascara. Just as I finish getting ready, my phone chimes again.

Tyson: I'm outside

me: I'm coming out

As I open the door, I notice Tyson's car. I close the front door and walk over to his car, opening the door as I sit in the passenger seat and say "hey." He smiles back. "Hey," he says, straightening his face and raising an eyebrow after staring at me. "Rough morning." "Hey," he says, straightening his face and raising an eyebrow after staring at me. "Rough morning."

"More like awful week," I giggle.

"Wow, that awful, huh? Do you want to talk about it?"

"I'd rather forget about it entirely."

He nods his head and starts the car. We pull up to a little modern coffee shop and sit inside as a waiter asks, "What can I get you guys today?" Tyson responds first "I'll just take a small black coffee." The waitress looks at me. "And what can I get you miss?" She ask. "Please just give me a small French vanilla." "I'll be right back with your orders," she writes on her notepad. "So, how have you been?" I ask Tyson as the waitress turns around and walks away. He smiles as he looks back at me. "I've been fine, but I've been missing hanging out with you." I smile back at him. "I missed you too." When our waitress brings our drinks. "A black coffee for you," she says as she places the cup in front of Tyson, "and a French vanilla for you." She places my drink in front of me, and Tyson and I both say "thank you" as she smiles broadly and walks away. Just as I'm about to drink my drink, the door opens, and Scarlett and Colin walk in.

SCARLETT'S POV

I decided to give y/n her space because I knew she needed it, and I also needed to figure out what to do because y/n was completely right, having both of them would be selfish. I've been spending most of my days at home with Rose; there were several occasions when I wanted to call or go over to y/place, but I restrained myself. I awoke and checked the time on my phone; it was 10:10am. I got out of bed and went downstairs to make myself some coffee. When I opened the cupboard, I discovered there was no instant coffee left. "Fuck," I mutter, just as Colin comes down the stairs, "no more coffee left?" He asks, "no," to which I respond, "well, we can go out and get some." I turn to face him, as my back to him, and ask, "what about Rose?"
