They weren't exactly silent as he watched them from afar. They weren't like the other that he had experienced, whatever they were, they weren't a part of the herd. The little raptor peeked out from the edge of the rock once again. He knows he shouldn't have left his siblings, but whatever those things were, they were making so much noise he just had to investigate. The dark skinned dinosaur gave a small noise, the spikes on his neck rattling slightly and the faint blue marks on his skin shimmered in the falling sunlight. What should he do?

Cocking his head, the little raptor turned trotting back up the hill to where the cave entrance was. His siblings poked their heads upwards looking at the eldest as he scrambled back into the now fully built up nest. Small pieces of rock tumbling down past him as he settled himself amongst the dirt and moss. Another faint rattle came from his spikes, and he heard those creatures getting closer. A chirp escaped his sister, as the silver colored raptor peeked her head out trying to see what her brother saw. He chirped back at her, before looking himself. The noise was getting louder, what should he do? Mother wasn't there.

He had to do something, he thought as he scampered up to the edge of the nest ordering his siblings out as well. The two followed his lead as they clawed their way to his side and settled themselves beside him.

A chirp escaped his sister as she sort of toppled down the side of the nest before gazing up at her other siblings. Cocking his head, he skidded down to where his sister sat. His younger brother made a small noise before following after his two siblings.

"The hell are those things?" A voice stated catching the three babies off guard.

"Doesn't matter, catch them." Another said as the three raptors bolted back towards the cave.

"They look like raptors... you don't think?"

"Catch them!" The creatures raced forward towards them. A crackle came from one of the creatures but he chose to ignore it instead trying to escape with his kin. He charged ahead of his siblings darting further into the cave hoping and praying that his mother was there. A cry came from behind him causing him to skid to stop the spikes on his back rattling. His sister struggled in the creature's hands as she bit and clawed at the thing holding her. Giving off a snarl he raced forward his teeth and claws clamping down on the beings leg hoping that it would drop his sister.

"Just grab them and hurry up." Hands were snatching him, pulling him free from his prey as his baby brother darted deeper into the cave.

"What ab-" A radiating noise escaped the cave. The ground shook and thundered with a tremor that felt like the world was crumbling. Bright yellow eyes glowed in the darkness, they lumbered forward the steps of the creature that held them shaking the world around them. A crackling noise came from the creature holding his sister.

"Status, did you find the raptor?"

Yells came from the beings as the t-rex came fully out of the cave and the two siblings were dropped. A loud rattle of noise echoed upward towards the massive carnivore, before the shrill cry of their mother sounded behind them. The raptors call tore upwards as screams filled the air and blood painted the wind. The rex hummed the noise reverberating through the ground as she looked over her newest meal that was sprawled out in front of her. Blue moved forward giving off a long call to the towering dinosaur. A low rumble came from the rex before stepping over the hatchlings and past the velociraptor.

His mother chirped, picking up his sister and putting her into the nest, before grabbing his younger brother and placing him into its safety. He chirped at her, as his mother moved to him but she paid the call no mind. Snatching her child in her teeth she gently placed him beside his siblings. Giving a faint hum, she encouraged them to remain here and wait for her return. Nuzzling her babies one last time she turned racing after the t-rex trying to catch up to her friend.

He was in charge now, he was going to keep his siblings safe and besides they had a good meal now.
