𝘚𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪... 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵...?!

My head snapped towards him, still smirking as he got up. My eyes scanned his features again, attempting to place him.

Venti... is it really-?

I caught his eye as he stood up. Those eyes, the sky's hue reflecting in them. I had seen them before, somewhere. And I had a strong feeling I knew where they were from.

It can't be a common name... so it must be...

My eyes widened as he left the room, followed by Ms. Ningguang

"Don't cause any trouble. I'll be right back," she said sternly. The bear-keychain girl turned to me again.

"Did he seriously get sent to the principal's on the first day? Jeez, we're in trouble!" She chirped, "You're Y/n, aren't you? We had the same science class last year, right?"

"Oh yeah! I remember you, Xiangling, right?"

"Mhm! I'm glad we get to sit together this year, right Xingqiu?" She reached across the table, lightly punching the boy, who was reading again.

"Hm? Yes, it's fine. Chongyun might not think the same, though," He put the book down and pointed towards a boy with icey blue hair, sitting with Bennett, Fischl, and a girl with dark brown double buns. Xiangling giggled.

"Aww, poor Chongyun! Even I don't think I'd be able to stand sitting with Xinyan!"

"Xinyan... she was the girl who almost set the auditorium on fire last year, right?" I asked, laughing a bit. Xiangling quickly nodded.

"Speaking of table-mates, who's that guy who sits next to me?" Xingqiu questioned. I rolled my eyes.

"Venti. I knew him when I was little, but his family moved away. Guess he moved back this year," I shrugged. Xiangling mischievously smirked and locked eyes with Xingqiu.

"Young love?" Xiangling said quietly with a giggle. Xingqiu glanced at me and returned Xiangling's mischievous gaze.

"Ah, it sounds like a book, doesn't it?"

"Oh shut up! It's not like that at all!"

"Like what? Talking about me?" Venti ran back over to our table and sat.

"Oh nothing, just about how you and Y/n are in lo-"

"Xiangling, is something wrong? Why not tell the class?" Ms. Ningguang sneered. Xiangling turned ghost white and shook her head.

"Good, good. Now let's get started on the lesson plan..." I turned to Xiangling and made a face. Venti leaned across the table and whispered,

"What about me and Y/n?"

Xiangling stifled a laugh and whispered something to Venti, his cheeks growing pink as she continued. Once she was done, Venti turned to me with a joking smile.

Xiangling looked at me and winked, and Xingqiu nudged me closer to Venti.

These two...

Venti held his stare, and when I looked back to him his face was pink and he still had that stupid smile.

Oh my god, why him?
