We approached my house, my hand still tightly holding his. He quietly laughed through the whole walk.
I paused in front of the door.
"Well, here we are," I mumbled, letting go of his hand.
"Hope your mom doesn't hate me anymore!" Venti replied cheerfully. I chuckled to myself.
"She isn't here. Not sure when she's getting back, though."
I opened the door and stepped inside, followed by Venti. I turned to him, observing the ice cream on his uniform.
"You can change into one of my hoodies in the bathroom," I grabbed one of my hoodies and held it out to him.
"Thanks!" He hurried to the bathroom to change, returning to the living room in just a few minutes. He handed me his uniform shirt and jacket.
"I'll go put these in the wash, make yourself comfortable."
I brought his uniform to the washing machine closet. It had an odd aroma of flowers and sticky ice cream. I set the washing machine up to clean the uniform, shoving it in and pressing the "ON" button.
"I put it in-" Venti had disappeared from the living room. I looked around a bit, before calling out to him again.
"Venti?"
"I'm in your room!"

I froze, mortified. I ran to my room, pushing open the door. Venti was laying on my bed, holding up a stuffed animal of mine.
"You still have this?"
"Of course I do. Why would I get rid of it?"
"I thought you were mad at me."
"Well yeah, but I guess you're not not that bad." I shrugged. He hugged the stuffed animal and locked eyes with me, smiling.
"You had a crush on me back then, didn't you?" My face grew red.
"Yeah, you liked me back."
"I did. You're still pretty cute, Y/n!" I twisted the fabric of my shirt in my fingers.
How does he expect me to respond to that?
I remained silent.
"Sorry," He muttered
"You are too."
"What was that?" He smiled. My face was bright pink.
"Nothing. Forget about it." I turned around. I really said that, didn't I?
"I heard you, Y/n. You still like me!" He teased. My irresistible desire to punch him was hard to control, but I managed.
I sharply inhaled. I had nothing to say, what would one say in this situation?
"You can admit it. I like you back, and neither of us have dated anyone yet," Venti went on. He smirked.
"Two first timers, right?"
"What?!"
"You know what I mean. C'mon, it'll be fun!"
Time paused. This decision was crucial, high pressure, and unexpected. Say yes, and everything would change. What if my friends start to ignore us, and think I'm spending more time with him? Say no, and he would be heartbroken. I wouldn't be able to live with the guilt of doing that to him. I couldn't think forever.
"I don't know." I finally uttered. He shrugged.
"Can I still hug you?" I nodded. He stood up from my bed, walking towards me, arms outstretched. I let him wrap his arms around my waist. I squirmed at the sudden contact, eventually loosening up and wrapping mine around his neck. He nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck.
Before I could notice it, my door swung open. I hadn't heard the front door over my worries.
"Y/n L/n, what do you think you are doing!?"
