The Dark Prince

The figure smirked, an evil glint in his eyes. He turned away from Taeyong. A couple long strides and he was standing in front of the youngest of the rebel group, Jisung. The boy tried to turn his head away from the dark king, but the regent's eyes flashed dangerously. His hand reached out to grab the boy's chin. Jisung whimpered in fear as Ten tilted his head up to meet his eyes. Ten chuckled, seeing the boy's fear and innocence. He would do nicely for what he had in mind.

"This one."

The dark haired girl smiled, a sadistic smile cutting into her pale face. Her black eyes seemed to sparkle with malicious joy as she sauntered over to the youngest. Ten nodded to her as he faded, leaving her to do what he intended. He would get his Dark Prince, even if he had to give up his Dark Queen to get him.

A pale hand reached forward, grasping the youngest of the group's jaw with a firm grip. All the older members of the rebel group stiffened, having already witnessed the injury and pain that the Dark Queen could inflict with that simple position. The Queen simply smirked, intentionally digging her black nails into the soft skin of Jisung's face. Then all of her facial expressions melted into a blank stare. Black tendrils streaked from her hands, forcibly connecting his mind with hers. She vaguely registered him scream, but she was preoccupied. Her mind reeled back in shock when he didn't immediately succumb to her will and power. The display of resistance was short-lived, however, and soon the sclera and iris of his eyes matched his pupils.

Though his impressive show of willpower made her uneasy, the feeling was pushed away when he stopped struggling in her grip and relaxed, the tight, pained planes of his face smoothing out as she unseated him from his own body. His tense muscles loosened and he stood straight staring unwaveringly forward. It curled her lips into what was supposed to be an evil smirk, but the unease reared up again and twisted it into more of a grimace.

Ignoring the coiling feeling of wrong in her gut, the pale girl flicked her wrist, dissolving the chains that fettered him to the cold, black marble. He stood before her, towering over her head by a good 10 centimeters. Even with his height, it was clear who controlled who.

She held her hand out flat, palm up, and formed a black dagger that seemed to absorb the light of the flickering braziers that lined the walls of the throne room. Immediately, Jisung reached out to take it. The rest of the group was frozen in shock. What had this witch done to their precious youngest?

The person--the thing-- that turned around to face them, as if commanded by some unspoken order, was not Jisung. It may have worn his face, but it was not their easily emotional, soft youngest. This was some sort of perversion of his presence that always said shy-soft-scared-startled and they would not be fooled by this imposter.

"What-"

"What did you do?" Jaemin whispered, staring into the pitch black eyes of one of his closest friends. His brother. His groupmate. His family. The girl had the audacity to appear the slightest bit uncomfortable looking at the thing she created, though it disappeared as quickly as it appeared, replaced by that cold, unfeeling twist of her lips that barely even qualified as a smile.

"Kill them."

Protests and gasps of shock erupted from the group when Jisung nodded, eyes cold and apathetic as he swung his gaze across the options. Pleads followed when his dark eyes zeroed in on the second youngest, Chenle.

"Start with the youngest members." She ordered, barely able to stop her voice from trembling uncontrollably. She spun on her heel, walking briskly out of the throne room, and into an abandoned corridor adjacent to it. She swayed slightly, feeling like she was about to pass out. The world seemed to spin and flip in front of her eyes, not allowing her to keep her balance.

The world went black.
