This is a Lizzie Olsen x Reader story based in high school. (This is set in modern day high school, just cause why not.)
Nicole Harper is a new student to Campbell Hall High School in Los Angles.
August 26th was the day of volleyball "tryouts." Nic...
I groan rolling over to turn my alarm off. "Papi! Time to get up!" I scream getting out of bed to start knocking on his door. The only way my dad ever got up in the morning was if I or mom wake him up. When I don't hear a response I open his door carefully. I enter the room slowly and quietly. "Papi, come on, wake up. You can't be late to work today." I shake him slightly.
He groans turning in his sleep so his back was against the mattress. "I'm up cariño." (Sweetheart). He mutters, before throwing the sheets off of him. "Get out of here cariño." He glares at me. I nod quickly before rushing out of the room.
I head back into my room to get ready for the day. I decide on wearing a marron polo shirt, a pair of light wash jeans, a light pink infinite scarf, white converse and my backpack. "Mija, you look amazing." Mom smiles handing me a bowl of fruit for breakfast as I come into the kitchen. "Your lunch money is on the table before the door."

Dad comes rolling into the kitchen. "Cariño, you're going to have to walk today." I turn to my dad flabbergasted. He's taking my car? Grandma bought me that for my birthday last year. "Querido, it's a six mile walk." (Darling). Mom looks at Dad. "Well I guess you better get walking." He grumbles grabbing his coffee mom made before heading to the front door. He grabbed my car keys on the way out. Mom has her coworker pick her up for work until the family car gets fixed. Someone backed into it the other day while the car was parked.
"What the hell?" I glance at mom, she just shrugs. "I don't know what to tell you mija." I run my hand through my hair after finishing my breakfast. I walk to the front door only to see my lunch money gone as well. "Mami, he took my lunch money."
"He did what now?" She walks over to me to see that the money was indeed gone. "I'm sorry mija, I don't know what to do." She whispers, "I guess I'll just take a peanut butter sandwich."
"I'll go quickly make you one, go brush your teeth."
I nod quickly heading off to the bathroom to quickly brush my teeth. "Sandwich is made."
"Gracias mami." I smile taking the wrapped sandwich kissing my mom on the cheek before rushing out the door. Now to start this six mile walk to school.
On the first mile I see a car drive by with someone that looks familiar. I spot the car stop a couple feet ahead of me. Lizzie gets out of the car. "You are seriously going to walk the entire way to school?"
"Don't really have a choice, my dad took my car." I shrug looking at my teammate. "Get in." She motions to her car. "I'm not going to just let you walk for 5 miles." "I've already walked a mile."
Her gaze snaps to mine, "you're dad was going to make you walk six miles?"
"Wouldn't be the first time." I mumble walking to her car. "What was that?" She looks up at me raising an eyebrow. "Nothing." I say quickly getting into her car slowly. "That's what I thought." She teases getting into the car herself.
