"All of you look at this!" Wen Kexing commanded to the Jin Dynasty's confused-looking troops. "This is Head General Han Ying's command sign, and from now on, you must obey my orders!"

He panted after saying that, having exhausted from the tiring journey. To get to Yuezhou, you usually need to take half a day to arrive there; but Wen Kexing only took around 4 hours; his horse almost dropped down from exhaustion. He wiped his sweat using his sleeves, waiting for their reaction. Some of the soldiers are whispering to each other, and giving him looks of disbelief. How does someone who looked as scholarly and gentle as him could assassinate the Head General and even snatch his command sign without anyone noticing?

Zhou Zishu stayed silent; not knowing whether or not he should completely rely on Wen Kexing. Wen Kexing winked at him, and said something, but it only sounded like a whisper. "Trust me, I can handle this." He raised the command sign even higher and showed it to them; it was glistening in the sunlight. A soldier whispered frantically to someone whom seemed like was the vice general; Han Ying's head butler. "Vice general Bi... S-should we forfeit to them?"

Bi Xingming was a young man in his early twenties; he was smart and lucky enough to earn Head General Han's trust; thus promoted him to become his assistant. He was especially skilled at setting up traps for the enemies; and he soon came up with a wicked plan. He handed his sword to his assistant, got down from his horse, climbed up the small wooden bridge on the river and walked slowly to Wen Kexing's direction.

Wen Kexing was careful, this Vice General Bi wasn't someone to mess to, as people said. He was good at gaining sympathy from his "humble" and clearly fake actions. But what happened right after wasn't what he expected from this cruel and vicious general. Bi Xingming knelt down in front of him, his knees with a 'thump' dropped down to the ground, and slightly lowered his head. Wen Kexing couldn't believe what he had just seen. Bi Xingming's voice croaked while he was trying to hold his tears. "We... can give Yuezhou to you and be this Lord's loyal subjects for the rest of our lives! But please, spare my good brothers; they were the reason why I'm alive until today..."

Wen Kexing had doubts in his mind now. Should he spare them or not? They looked pitiable... They had been in wars for years, no one knowing what they had been going through, and lost their families. Wouldn't the world be a lot nicer if they had peace?
He looked at Zhou Zishu and gave him a questioning look, but his husband's face still remained expresssionless. Their troops were cheering from behind; wanting him to torture the Head General and let him live in misery for the rest of his life. This... was a tough decision for him.

He finally sighed, and pulled Bi Xingming from the ground. "Head General Bi, if you break your promise.. then I will definitely kill you at that second. And your subordinates too." he muttered.

Bi Xingming smiled coldly knowing that his plan had succeded. He couldn't believe that it would be that easy to manipulate someone as dumb as him. He then pretended to be happy and relieved after hearing his words. "Thank you, My Lord! May i ask, which famous clan do you come from to be this kind and wise?"

"I have no clan; only came from a small middle-class family. But my name is...

"Wen Kexing."

Zhou Zishu immediately asked to meet Wen Kexing as soon as they got back to the palace. He stormed to his room and banged the door with his fists. "WEN KEXING YOU F*CKING DUMBA$$! COME OUT!!"

Hong Lu was combing her Master's untidy hair and putting the white jade hairpin into its place. "Hong Lu, you can leave now."

"Yes, Concubine Wen."

Hong Lu placed the wooden comb back on the dressing table and rushed outside. He met the aggravated- looking Head General Zhou when she was there. His tone of speaking doesn't seem right, and he was truly mad because of something that was bothering him. Or else he wouldn't even swear at his own wife. Wen Kexing got up from the chair and opened the door, then asked him all friendly-like and unbothered, like he did nothing wrong. "Zhao fu, why are you coming here? Should I make some tea for you?"

"DO I LOOK LIKE I NEED SOME TEA RIGHT NOW?!" Zhou Zishu grasped him by the shoulders and squeezed them hard. "WEN KEXING, YOU DO KNOW THAT YOU'RE PUTTING US IN A LOT OF DANGER RIGHT?!!"

Wen Kexing shook his head and replied innocently. "I- I don't understand..."

"Of course you don't understand..." Zhou Zishu inhaled deeply. "Of course a dumb person couldn't understand anything.."

He was trying to remain calm and collective right then. He buried the anger deep into his heart, and explained patiently. "Look, I don't have the time to explain right now, I need to-"

"Head General Zhou, the soldiers camp caught a fire!!"
