*Joe's POV*

It's funny how fast things can change between one breath and the next. Your whole world can catch fire in seconds. That's what was happening to me now. I was burning all over.

No, I was literally burning all over. Flames licked up my body. I clawed at my clothes trying to pull off the burning fabric.

Stop, drop and roll!

******

I woke up on the floor of my room, disoriented. What am I doing down here? I vaguely remembered the burning sensation on my skin thanks to the recurring nightmare I've had... I guess this time I stop, drop and rolled straight out of my dream and onto the floor.

I glanced out the window to find myself facing a bleak and rainy day. Looks like I won't be going out today, So much for an exciting vlog night. I snickered to myself, I had nothing planned anyway. Procrastinating video ideas was a specialty of mine. Maybe it was time for another Q&A.

Yawning, I made my way upstairs to the kitchen dodging my roommates mess. Seriously Caspar? He's such a slob! I'm not his housekeeper although thinking of myself cleaning Caspar's room in a uniform made my pulse quicken. I paused at the top of the stairs, sounds like a great video idea.

Caspar was sat at the table absentmindedly playing with his phone, a soft smile pulling at the corner of his lips. Looking at him made my chest tight. He was always off in his own world. It would be frustrating if it wasn't so sweet. Well, it was frustrating anyway but I couldn't stay mad.

"Morning Caspar."

Its been awhile since I saw him smile like that. He's been down ever since the break up or, at least, he says he has been. I'm pretty sure the idiot has been milking his "heartbreak" for attention, which I've been giving to him. I just worry, even at 21 he is too naive.

"Gooooooood morning Joe!" he sang. Caspar's small smile growing into a cheesy grin.

"You look too happy to be awake this early. What's up Caspar?"

"It's finally happened Joe. For sure this time, I just know it. "

"What?" I laughed. "Honestly Caspar, what are you on about?"

"Joe, I'm in love."

My pulse quickened. No, it's too soon for him to be chasing romance again. "Oh yeah? With who?" I tried to laugh it off "Let me guess? Pizza? Pepperoni or sausage?"

Pizza? Really, Joe, THAT'S the best joke I could can come up with? Was it even a joke?

My heart was nearly beating out of my chest. I don't know why I asked. I couldn't handle an answer. What if it was me? Would I tell him I had feelings too? If it was someone else could I handle the hurt?

"... What? No. A person."

Seconds stretched on for what seemed like an eternity as I waited for him to elaborate. The sound of rain filling the unending silence was starting to grate on my nerves. Sometimes Caspar was really annoying.

"Caspar! With who?"

Caspar's eyes wandered to my face making it hard to concentrate. The door bell rang suddenly causing Caspar to jump up.

"That's got to be her. Bye Joe. Don't wait up," he said cheekily before running out the door without even a backwards glance.

"Her." I mumbled. My stomach sank. It wasn't me. I was surprised by how disappointed I was. My hands started shaking. God, I need to get out more. Maybe I would be having an interesting blog night after all.
