(A/N. dedicated to voidherondale because she's an amazing person and writer and such a daredevil ;) )
I looked to the clock and cursed, I shouldn't have come here, I knew that but I was dragged by my sister. I knew she wouldn't last long alone among people, being the quiet and introverted person she is, she would have to be introduced to people before she'd even think to interact with them, that is where I came in, the introducer. I have enough social skills to do that, but I should've known id end up sitting by myself, reading again.I looked up, coming back to reality, away from the book I was currently concentrating on, and quitely observed the room, smiling at some boys dancing badly along to some pop song currently playing.I looked across the room to see my 17 year old little sister, Melodie playing cards with a boy whose name is Daniel, at least Im 90% positive it is Daniel, but my memory can't be trusted. Melodie yelled out as she lost yet another game of snaps. She yanked at her golden blonde hair and closed her ocean blue eyes in frustration, before giving in and agreeing to another game. Her outfits were always bright, with pinks, blues and all sorts of other colours, she was wearing floral pink jeans today with a flowy pink short sleeved top and pink flats.
I looked over towards the pool table and watched as my 16 year old little sister Samantha (Yeah she hated her name) tried and failed to hit a striped ball with her pool stick, hitting the white ball in, instead. She huffed, complaining that it is much harder than it looks.Samantha strutted back over to the boy she was trying to impress, her curly brown hair flowing behind her. She always seemed to look attractive in whatever she wore. today was no exception wearing a short sleeved lace black dress, black ankle boots, black tights and a black choker. I chuckled to myself, pushing a strand of my black hair out of my face, thinking about how she always wanted to seem cool and not have her older sisters hang out with her.
I was the odd one out, out of our trio, I had hip length black hair and ocean blue eyes. My fashion sense was non existent and I wore what I wanted or what I felt comfortable in. Today I decided on knee length black boots, Marvel tights, light blue shorts and a Gryffindor t-shirt from Harry Potter. I also brought along my knitted, thigh length yellowy brown zip up sweater, knowing how chilly it got in the evening.I'm not known as the most fashionable one around as you can guess but I honestly couldn't care less.
We were at a new teenage hangout that opened in town. It had everything but Wi-Fi which ultimately limited the amount of people who came here.It didn't exclude down right asses from coming that's for sure.
I bit my lip, looking at the clock again,I need to leave or else I'm going to be late for work, I got up, my sweater swaying with me as I walked over to the table where Melodie was playing cards with Daniel
"Mel,I need to go or I'll be late," I told her, watching as she squinted at her cards before looking up at me,surprise colouring her face.
She looked over at the plain white clock "But it's not even.......oh" She blinked continuously as if not believing the time.
"yeah" I chuckled. Tossing her the car keys."Since we only have one car,I'll walk,It isn't that far"
"You sure?" She questioned me, chewing on her bottom lip.
"Yeah and anyways Sam won't walk far without complaining how much effort it is and you know it"
"You're right" She laughed, making me laugh with her.Throwing a smirk her way, I turned to Daniel "Be good to her Danny" I winked turning around ready to leave
"My name's Andrew" He replied. I turned back to 'Andrew'
"No it isn't" I frowned.
"Yes,yes it is"
