Rou=nickname for Gorou

"General Gorou, Sir. Our current situation doesn't look all to good. Their bodies are getting weaker, they just won't stop aging." a fellow resistance member said.
Gorou tried to keep his confident composer, a worried army of soldiers is the least thing he needed right now.
"Her excellency and I are doing everything within our power to come to a solution, continue treating them to slower the process." Gorou said with a calm expression on his face.
"Yes, General." and so the Sangonomiya Samurai headed back to lend a hand.

As soon as the soldier left, the calm expression on Gorou's face dropped into a pissed one, letting one long sigh escape his mouth as he headed to his little house, mumbling something on the way.
"...damn those Fatui, damn those delusions and dam-" he was cut off by an all too familiar voice when closing the door behind himself.
"Now, now. Take it easy. I assume our current state isn't looking too bright, huh." you said, heading towards him with both hands behind your back.

After a few moments of silence Gorou continued.
"More or less. If things continue like this, we sooner or later won't have enough manpower to fight the Shogunate Samurai anymore.
And don't even get me started with the Vision
Hunt Degree.
...ah sorry, I'm venting again. Good afternoon y/n." He said with a comforting smile, which didn't seem to convince y/n even the slightest.
Without letting any word fall from your mouth, you now started taking his gear off.
With a confused look on his face, you spoke.
"Take em' off, I'll take over patrol and the work for today." you said with an expressionless face, which always was difficult to read.
"Oh, there's really no need, I'm doing just fine dear."
He said as he rested his hands on your hips.

"Come on, drop the tough boy act already. I know how tiring and exhausting everything is at the moment."
You always tried to talk things out since he tends to bottle things up.
"..Heh, should've known you'd squeeze things out
of me."  Stopping for a moment, noticing his ears slowly lowering he continued.
"We're loosing so many comrades and friends but haven't come any further. It's like they all just died in vain.
Plus the uneasiness among the resistance members is also increasing, at this point I just really don't know what to do or say at all." as he finished, his eyes adverted to any corner in the room but you, the tiredness in the geo vision holder's eyes became all to more visible .
You reached up your hand to ruffle his hair, making him wander his gaze to you.
The look on his face wasn't amusing for you at all, seeing how worn out he was, the dark circles under his eye were intensely sticking out.

"Pff..-You look like a stray dog." You said, followed by a short laugh and a glare from Gorou.
"Don't overwork yourself Rou' and don't hesitate to ask me to lend you a hand."
Your ironic but comforting words seemed to leave an effect on him as he pulled you into a tight hug.
Your stern act as the captain of a unite but at the same time caring person you are is what he loves so dearly about you.

Pulling away from the hug, you headed towards the firewood, picking some up and walking towards the kitchen, where you put them in the stove and lightened them.
You then poured some water into a bowl to heat
it up . "Green tea?"
"Yeah, thanks y/n" he replied with a low voice while walking towards your bed, now sitting on it.
You made two cups for each of you and brought it to your lover, picking up a light blanket on the way.

Making yourself comfortable beside him and taking a sip of the hot liquid while caressing his exposed lower back with your free hand.
Gorou always enjoyed that, resulting to him laying his head on your shoulder. His nose was slightly tinted in red, probably from the hot smoke rising from his cup.

You both sat there for some time, simply enjoying each others presence and chatting, the faint noise of the crackling fire in the background.
When hearing a heavy knock you both averted your eyes to the door in sink.
"Captain y/n, we need support in the front line!"
You recognised this voice to be one of your fellow team member.
"I'll be on my way." you shouted back, in a somehow respectful tone.
As much as you wanted to stay with your lover, duty is calling.
Gorou let out a heavy breath, complaining.
"meehh, always at the worst timings." then placing a gentle kiss on your forehead.
"Don't worry kitty, I'll be back soon."
You said with a wink and begann putting your Uniform back on.

Heading towards the door, you looked back only to be met with Gorou wrapped in the sheets like a worm, eyes closed and ears laid down.
This picture before you made your heart melt, he legit looked like the laziest person on Teyvat but actually is overworking himself like crazy, which is now very clearly seen.
