Chapter 10: Unfolding Secrets

''Well guys, now that we are back, I got to go in. Mom is probably freaking out where I have been gone so long so yea. Bye. See you tomorrow at our weekday time.'' I said not wanting to leave the pack and especially Sarah.

''Go on, I know you want to stay but I know you need to go to. So bye.'' Sarah said getting in a resting position with out trying to move a lot.

''OK, I will see y'all tomorrow then. Bye.'' I said just starting to walk off towards my house. I jumped when I heard the door to my house open and slam.

''Samantha! I am not playing around, you come out of those woods this instant!'' I heard my mom yell. Was she even worried? It kind of sounding like it but she sounded so mad, it was unlike her. So that must mean she was worried...I guess.

''I know, I am coming, sorry if I scared you.'' My voice still had the worried twitch from where the other wolves stole the pack and me. But I knew I couldn't let anyone know, even Momma.

''Well get in here! I have been calling your name for centuries, you had me all worried!'' Ah-ha I knew Momma was worried. I finally got out of the woods and saw Momma standing in front of the door with the door wide open! She usually didn't so that. What was up with her!

''Don't you think you are being over dramatic, I mean I haven't ever lived a century so you wouldn't have been calling my name for a whole century!'' I said all cocky.

''Well, you know what I mean darling, now get in here.'' She said.

I went to say something but almost stopped when I saw her mouth open to say something else, but I went on, ''I'm coming, calm down. Nothing is wrong.''

''Yes there is Darling, now come on, we need to talk.'' Momma explained pointing into the house.

''There isn't anything to talk about, I just wanted to... to... to ... um, you know! Um, um, uh stay back with my imaginary friends and, uh, they didn't want me to leave either.'' I said with out a thought.

''So then why are you stuttering a bunch?'' Mom asked, trying to be cocky with me.

''Oh, you know, thoughts will just leave my mind but, this one came back quick.'' I had been walking real slow up to Momma. But when I finally reached her, I stopped.

''Well, come on, there is still more I need to say to you and there is a whole lot you got to explain to me.'' Momma said all seriously like she gets when she wants to have a talk about something that she knows nothing about, and boy she won't find out anything, I hope. I can only hope and try.

I walked in with Momma trailing behind me. She nodded to the couch when we had reached it, and I knew she meant to sit down. So, I did. And slowly too. ''So, what is it Momma?''

''I called your name about ten times and you never came, you would usually had at least came out and asked me to stay longer. So what is up with that?''

''Oh, well, I don't know, people change all the time, so, yea.'' I knew I wouldn't have even been able to answer that question if I was telling the truth!

''Well OK. Then, what is up over all, you've changed?''

''Changed, like how?''

''You stutter a lot for one and you never had anything to do with imaginary friends, ever. It makes no since. And then all those answers, they seem as though you just made them up.''

''No, they aren't made up and I have always loved imaginary friends and pets, I was just always afraid to admit it.'' I said trying to be serious.

''No no, when you was younger you told me everything, you wouldn't have left out not one thing. So, don't you try that with me little Missy.''
