"The first time I met you made me realize that I was allowed to have big dreams" - Vienna Phoebe

"I am tired, too tired. Please God, give me a chance to live well like everyone else. I wanna cry, but I can't. I have to be happy, actually pretend to be happy for my grandma," Phoebe just talked to herself while waiting for the bus.

The day was too tiring for Phoebe. She had delivered food for 30 customers from 7 a.m-3 p.m with a regular salary of around 1,520,000 KRW per month.

Then, she had to prepare and serve hot and cold coffee at one of the coffee shops in Gangnam, the most prestigious area in Seoul. She worked for 6 hours with a salary of 8,720 KRW an hour.

The clock showed 10 p.m. She had to go home. The work hadn't been finished yet. She still had two more projects to translate.

She also worked as a freelance subtitle translator (Korean-English) for a digital agency with a salary of 15,000 KRW per project.

Those were her jobs from Monday to Saturday. She had to do that to support herself and her grandma in a nursing home. Meanwhile, she had to live alone in one room in Yongsan.

She took a deep breath when she looked at one big photo across the street. She smiled slightly as she adjusted her glasses, while her brown hair was left loose and blowing in the wind.

"I am tired, but I like today's weather. I do like you," she said.

It was autumn. The green color on the leaves began to fade and the orange color became visible.

This was part of the splendor of autumn. This is probably the best part of fall.

Seoul was too beautiful in autumn. October was a pleasant month with the maximum temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius.

Sometimes it rained, but less than in Spring.

"I love fall," said Phoebe.

A mysterious man suddenly appeared. He sat down next to Phoebe and lit a cigarette. He wore a dark coat with glasses. His age was around 40 years old.

So far his V-shaped face evoked a masculine feel and also gave off a fresh and elegant look. The shape of his face and pale skin was the key to his attractiveness. He said nothing, just looked around the city.

"What are you waiting for, Agassi?" the man started the conversation.

Agassi is a Korean term, preferred when speaking to a young girl of unknown age and marital status.

Phoebe was confused, she looked left and right, looking for someone who was talking to the man.

"I am talking to you," added the man.

"Me? Do you know who I am?" Phoebe was still confused. She had never met the man before.

"I don't know who you are, but I know for sure you are waiting for something incredible to change your life," he spoke in a shooting tone as he continued to smoke.

"I'm not waiting for anyone," Phoebe answered.

"Do you like that man?" he pointed out a photo across them.

There was a big photo of Vernon Chwe, Phoebe's biggest idol. The black and white photo showed Vernon's charismatic gaze. His natural gaze made his masculinity and sexiness traits stand out.

Phoebe smirked, "I'm not waiting for anyone him. Who am I? Why should I wait for him? He is unreachable."

Phoebe looked at Vernon's photo once again. She smirked. Vernon was too perfect for her. His smile was like a powerful weapon to boost her energy.

"Do you want to meet him?" Phoebe was taken aback by the man's question.

"Of course, but I know it is just a dream for a girl like me. I don't want to have a big dream, I just want to live happily," she answered as she looked up at the clear sky.

It was suddenly drizzling even though the sky was clear a few minutes ago.

"You can meet him today. Your life will be full of blessings from now on. Your hard work will pay off. The universe conspires to help you meet him. You share the same destiny with him," the man began to talk while staring at the empty road.

Phoebe was just silent. She thought the mysterious man had a strange nature and was just boasting.

Suddenly a Lamborghini stopped in front of Phoebe.

She froze, her breathing stopped, her eyes glaring at the man in the car. A man in a white shirt with black glasses.

"Vernon-ssi," her lips immediately said that name.

The man turned his face to Phoebe. Their eyes met.

Phoebe was still frozen, her eyes kept glaring at the man. The world seemed to stop spinning.

"Vernon-ssi," Phoebe said that name once again.

The man opened the car window. He smiled at her.

"안녕하세요 (Annyeong haseyo)," he said.

"Vernon-ssi," Phoebe said that name again.

The man closed the car window and drove. The car left, while Phoebe was still frozen.

"Is it just a dream? Is he the real Vernon Chwe?" Phoebe asked the same questions to herself over and over again.

"I told you that you would meet him today. You can meet him every time it rains. You just imagine his face and think about your biggest dream, then you can meet him, teleport to his place, but he can't see you,"

"You can do that because God wills it. Your life is full of blessings. You can do it 30 times every time it rains, however, your age would be reduced one year every time you teleport," the mysterious man's voice snapped Phoebe out of her daydreaming.

Her face looked confused.

"Do you agree to do that?" the mysterious man asked another question.

She nodded subconsciously. She did it without thinking, she still pictured Vernon's face that greeted her a moment ago.

When she turned to the seat beside her, the mysterious man had disappeared. She was confused again about what had happened.

She never realized that her decision would completely change her life and determine her destiny.
