It was yet another regular day in the Evigheden empire, except that their Emperor Athanasios was too occupied to visit the imperial princess, so the maids could spend the entire day with her.

Which they had always sincerely wished for, but in the meantime, the princess was alone, alone in her room, bored. But, before it could get any more dull, the massive oak door cautiously opened to ensure that the person within was not startled.

What awaited them were numerous palace servants from various families, commoner or noble. Athanasia smiled sweetly as she looked straight at the door, knowing precisely who they were.

"Princess?" a maid asked slowly, thinking the princess was napping. "Is the princess asleep?" Maid 2 inquired, "But it's still afternoon." Maid 3 continued. A giggle was heard before they could continue.

"Uwa, Princess!" Ces, the current head maid of the princess' palace, hurried towards the princess, "I'm so glad you're safe, princess." Ces proceeded as she touched the princess' soft cheeks. "So soft." Ces exclaimed, "What?! So unfair!", "You're having the upper hand!" The maids were enraged by what had just occurred.

"Well, it's not my fault that the princess absolutely adores me more," Ces retorted. "What no way! The princess loves us more!" Hannah exclaimed half-jokingly. "Impossible! Otherwise, why would the princess smile at me if I'm not her favorite?"

The fight continued for a while until Athanasia began crying, "Waaaaah!" The princess wept loudly, seizing all of their attention. "Princess?", "Are you hurt?" The maids surrounded the marble crib the princess was resting on. "No, I assume the princess was infuriated by our behavior." the maid named Quinn, with black hair, said, as being the most matured one in the room.

Adele, maid number three, apologized to the princess, whereas the other maids apologized to the baby for having to bother her with their profane behavior.

"We have to make sure that this does not happen again," Ces sighed, relieved that their princess had eventually stopped crying. "It will be bad for the princess' wellbeing, especially if we're doing such inappropriate things!" Hannah proceeded.

Ces and Hannah were always referred to as twins or something similar, because they always stuck together and supported each other whenever the other made a mistake and apologized at the same time.

And the maids who lived within the palace walls may have seemed sweet and fragile from the outside, but they were heartless and tortured people they were ordered to depose by the emperor's order, so everyone's hands were already bloodied except the princess whom they vowed to protect.

"Understood! We'll keep in mind our princess isn't influenced!" the maids vowed with their entire lives, while the princess, who still couldn't speak, just laughed at them.

Athanasia giggled, clearly showing her adoration for everyone who had surrounded her. "Kya! We love you too, princess!" Paula squealed.

"Your Majesty? What are you up to?"
Rehan inquired of Anastacius, who had just stood up to pick up a coat.
