"Yes, you've mistaken. Your majesty Athanasios." Claude exclaimed making Anastacius stop on his tracks, was he lying? Or was it because there were nobles around? This thought made him want to laugh as if the emperor of this empire was scared of the nobles
He knew himself the situation as he planted a couple of spies all around the palace, and he knew this situation would corner claude as one wrong move would create rumors that would definitely destroy his reputation
"I've well taken care of my daughter" Claude answered calmly as if it was not a lie he was spitting, he needed to find a way how he can solve this problem without the nobles knowing the truth
"Is that so? How about the situation outside the palace?" Anastacius still pushed the matter making the aura around the room heavy, he will definitely not drop this subject without downgrading the other emperor
"It might have been an incident yesterday due to my daughter's frisky actions. Hence, I thank you for bringing my daughter back safely and rest assured this won't happen again" Claude spoke formally catching half of the noble's feels but half of them weren't convinced with such acts
"Its my pleasure to help such a lovable child, your majesty Claude" He answered as the meeting continued just as how it was like before, this was okay, he was satisfied how it turned out as his plan was solely to make the princess and the emperor meet

"What is it that you need, Duke Alpheus?" He asked as Roger looked at him with an unexplained face
"Why did you do that?" The duke asked gaining up the courage to talk to the evigh empire's emperor, "Do What? Please clarify it more clearly, Duke" The emperor answered as if the subject the duke was talking wasn't familiar to him
"Why did you mention the princess." The duke said which gained anastacius attention, he looked at the duke and by the expression alone, he knew one thing
"Oh? I thought you no longer had any connections involving the princess?" He smirked, he knew what happened between the countess and the duke yet he still can't find himself not worrying about the poor princess
"I do, But I do not have any reasons to just let that child suffer from her father" The duke answered as if he can hear the emperor's internal dialogue
"Just leave it like that afterall for some Duke like you have no control over the royal family" He threatened too unbothered to intervine into an another issue as he walked past the Duke, the Duke had clenched his fists and managed to get the confidence on facing another fearsome emperor
