1. First day of school

So it was finally here. The first day of September, the first day of school.
First year in highschool.
I felt so happy and anxious at the same time, that I almost forgot to grab my keys before leaving the house.

As I was sitting in the car, all I could think of was how would I get in there without people even noticing me so I'd get back home as soon as possible.

--

-"Y/N, we're here. Call me when you can go home so we can pick you up."
-"Okay dad! Bye!"
So there I was. The school was HUGE. And I mean it! One could almost get lost in it (luckily not my case).

As I approached the doors, I heard a feminine voice. Talking to me, probably.
-"Heyo! Are you new here?"
I turned around to see who it was,
-"Oh, yeah! I just-"
I stuttered. Her eyes, ocean blue. Her hair, oak brown, a bit messy. And her freckles- GORGEOUS. That was all I managed to say in my mind. Almost wanted to just run off in panic, but I'd probably just end up getting lost anyway.

My face turned red before answering again.
-"Y-yeah, I'm new! Name's Y/N. But who are you, if you don't mind me asking?"
She giggled (that was literally the cutest giggle I've ever seen?!)
-"I'm Tina, nice to meet you Y/N! Pretty name you got there. Mind if I give you a lil' tour around the school?"
Was this the best day of my life? Possibly. First day of school and already met someone so adorable, so pretty, so-
-"So? Whaddaya say?", she said as she smiled.
-"Yes!! Err, I mean, sure!", gods, this was embarrassing.

As we walked around the school, I noticed there was a LOT of guys. Not like on any other school. I felt a bit uncomfy, but it wasn't something I couldn't handle.
-"So, Y/N.. How'd you end up on this school? What brought you here?"
-"Well, to put it simply, my dad picked it for me. Originally I wanted to go to a different school, but after the things he's told me, I just kind of... changed my mind.."
She looked at me, frowned.
-"I assume you didn't take his words lightly. It's no good when the parent chooses their child's school after all. I'm sorry you had to go through that."
-"It's alright, no worries. Besides, I'm starting to like this school already!", I chuckled.
-"Still, if anything happens, let me know. I'll try to help as best as I can! That is, if you let me, of course. No presure."
I looked up at her and smiled.
-"Thanks, Tina, it means a lot to me."
-"No problem, Y/N."

The opening ceremony has started. We've been told which classes we've been assigned to, I was even given a tour, exclusively. When the ceremony was near the end, I remembered that I never asked which class was she from.
Shit.
I ran around the school as fast as I could, trying to find her. No one's there anymore. So I ran out of the school to see anyone around it. Nobody's there either.
I messed up so bad. Oh well, maybe I can meet her tomorrow as well! No worries..
Then I just called my dad and waited for my parents to pick me up and go home.
--
-"So how was it? Did you make some friends already?", mom asked.
-"Yeah. I made one.", I said as I smiled.
I spend the entire evening thinking about it. Even wrote it down in my diary. That was probably the best day of school I've ever had, even though I don't exactly know where she's from...
