3. Exams & Tears (literally)

A few months have passed since Tina offered me 'private lessons', though I was doing just alright so far. But sometimes we'd meet in a caffé near the school so she could explain some stuff that I just didn't understand.
Today was the last exam day before summer break. I was stressed. Drank three cups of coffee last evening just so I could focus on my studies. Hope it was worth it.

I heard a familiar voice in my dream.
-“Hey, sleepyhead! Hope you didn't forget about the exam today.”, something poked my cheek. Wait, isn't this a dream though? No.. it sounds like... Tina's voice!
-“Wakey wakey..”
-“I'm up! I'm awake!”, yeah, I weren't this energic a second ago.
-“Haha! What got you so exhausted, that you fell asleep for a whole hour?”
-“An hour?? Why didn't you wake me up? Were you watching me in my sleep?!”
-“Well, I did, just for a little while though. Sorry, couldn't help myself resist from looking at that cute face of yours.”, she chuckled.
I blushed, wanted to say something, but I'd rather not have her hear my stuttering.
-“Relax. Just wanted to check if you understand everything or still need some explaining before class. Hm?”
-“O-Oh! I think I know everything.. well, almost. You see...”
And so, we talked for a bit before class. The bell rang after 10 minutes, so I thanked her for the last time before walking to class.

The class was over. That was the longest 45 minutes of my life. I walked out of class with Lucy.
-“So? How'd you do, Y/N?”
-“I guess I did decently, I hope I can get at least D if not B.”
-“You'd be lucky for that! I didn't know anything. But to be fair, I didn't study 'cause I had to help my parents.”
-“I studied last evening & night, but weeks before it too. I got tutoring from my friend.”
-“The one you hang out with quite a lot? The one from sophomore year?”
-“Ya, her name's Tina. She helped me a lot with most school stuff. Maybe she could help you too, haha!”
As we talked, I swear I saw Tina for a second. She didn't notice me, but I saw her walking somewhere, so I followed her, I wanted to thank her again.
Dang! I lost her. Looked around the hall, went downstairs talking to someone. I was about to say 'Hi!' or something, but what I saw after that, it was like an arrow piercing through my heart, slowly.
There I was, standing behind the wall in the hall, which she was not too far from, kissing- almost making out with a guy.
My eyes widened, I teared up. I couldn't stand the sight of it. I looked around & saw Lucy, so I walked off with her.
-“What's wrong, Y/N? Did something happen?”
-“No, I'm alright. Just got some dust in my eyes, nothing much.”, dust? Really? The worst excuse I had, but I couldn't make up any other.
-“It's alright if you don't wanna tell me, just don't be too hard on yourself, please.”
-“Alright, I promise I won't be.”
...
-“And since you're feeling kinda down, don't you wanna go shopping? I know that cheers me up when I'm sad.”, I chuckled.
-“Thanks. That'd be a great idea.”
So since we had a lot of time left after school, we went shopping to the city.
While it did lift my mood up a bit, I still couldn't forget what I saw today. Oh, I was so naive.
