-“Wake up, Y/N! Wake up! You'll be late for school!”, ugh, mom yelled at me in the morning.
I opened my eyes, checked my phone- IT'S 6:20?? School starts at 7:00AM!!
-“Quickly! Or you won't catch the bus!”
Just to be clear, it took me around 30 minutes to get to school, by a car.
Great. This day started off wonderfully.
--
In the end, I made it just in time. Arrived at 6:55. I was on my way to my locker but I heard a familiar voice.
It must be.. TINA!!
-“Hey, Y/N! Good morning! Almost thought you wouldn't make it in time today, haha!”
-“Morning to you as well. And yeah, I kinda just overslept.. BUT what's important is that I made it just in time!”, just in time to see your beautiful smile again.
-“You know, you should go to your class. Unless you wanna miss that as well. I should be going too, so I'll be seeing you!”
-“Wait!- yeah, I'll.. I'll be seeing you.”
Goddammit!! I forgot to ask her again! Well, I hope I'll see her today again, don't want to miss it again.

Oh hell, maths. I've always hated math. If you asked me to multiply fractions, I'd probably just throw up and start crying. I looked all around the room to see if there's anymore places left to sit for me, found one right in the back of the class.
-“Mind if I sit here?”
-“Of course not! You're probably the first person to sit with me this year, so thanks for that.”, the girl chuckled.
-“Yeah, no problem. Know what's going on?”
-“Huh? Oh, you mean what's the teacher talking about? Linear equations.”
...and I was damned the second day of school.
--
The class was finally over. Phew.
-“Hey! I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Y/N! Who're you?”
-“Oh! I'm Lucy. Nice to meet you Y/N.”
And so, our friendship has started right then and there. We chatted about our old schools & hobbies on our way to other class. And then I saw her again, Tina.
-“Oi, Lucy. Could you excuse me for a moment?”
-“Yeah, go ahead.”
I nodded and fast-walked to Tina, she didn't notice me.
-“Heyo!”
-“Oh! Hey, Y/N! Long time no see, haha!”, she chuckled. Adorable.
-“Yup. Just saw you while passing through & remembered that I forgot to ask you this whole time, but what class are you?”
-“I'm class II.A, and you?”
-“What a coincidence! I'm class I.A.”
We both chuckled.
-“Sooo.. I assume you had maths first? Or am I wrong?”
-“No, you guessed it. But how did you-”
“Remember, I'm a year ahead of you.”, she winked at me and chuckled again. I blushed a little, not too much for her to even notice.
-“Oh, so I'm talking to a veteran?”
-“Precisely. Better pay me some respect, haha!”, girl, you know I will.
We chatted for a bit, then the bell rang for class.
-“Well, was nice talking to you, but I gotta go! See ya!”, she waved me before I ran off to class. I realized I like talking to her a lot, she had a good sense of humor too, almost identical to mine.
Next class was... electrical engineering?? Gods, when will the pain stop...
--
-“Understand anything? 'Cause I don't.”
-“Nope, not a damn thing. But shh! Maybe I'll understand eventually-”

-“Do the ladies in the back have something to say? What's your name, you in the back?”, teacher asked, I felt nervous.
-“M-me?”
-“Yes, what is it?”
-“It's Y/N.”, so many thoughts were running through my mind at that moment.
-“Do you want to explain this instead?”
-“No, no. I'll be quiet next time.”
-“Well, thank you. Do not disturb other students during class.”
Well, that was embarrassing. But I'll take it. I tried to cool down by drawing something into my sketchbook & then I paid more attention to the teacher.
--
45 minutes have passed. Another class was over. Just two more and I can finally go home-
-“Look who we have here! It's Y/N again!”, I froze on my way out of class, all red.
-“Ah! Tina! You surprised me!”
-“Just like you did the last time. A rather pleasant surprise.”
-“Y-yeah! It was.”
We walked around the hall for a bit, chatting.
-“...so all I'm saying, if you ever need any help with anything, don't hesitate to call on me! Not to flex or anything, but I'm pretty good in electrical engineering.”, she chuckled.
-“Oh, of course. So private lessons, it is?”, I giggled.
-“Mhmm.. if you want to call it that, haha!”
We continued chatting & walked to classes. Even exchanged our socials in between classes. It was really nice talking to her, she wasn't too serious or too easy-going. She was perfect, at least that's how I'd describe it.
--
Some time has passed and school was over now. It was 12:30.
-“You waiting for your parents to come pick you up or the bus?”
-“I'm waiting for the bus this time. Didn't know you saw me yesterday.”, she just shrugged.
-“Well, I went to the city after school, but I still saw you while walking there. Besides the parking lot is not too big for me to not notice.”
-“True, true..”
We chatted for a bit, while waiting for my parents & then parted our ways.
When I got back home, did all my school work, I finally wrote something to my diary again. About my new friend, about my new best friend. Or something more soon. But hey, who am I to know..
This day started off terribly, but it went actually pretty good. I'm actually glad it was this way. Still hope tomorrow's morning will be better though.
