I walk to the edge of the arena, yells and cheers bombarding my senses. The fight I'd waited, about 4 minutes for, had finally arrived.

"Oh, Deku... You're so stupid. I have a quirk, one even on level with yours." He releases the quirk, his control flawless as no drawbacks appear visibly.

"Silence suits you better, Deku. You should go back to how you used to be." Turning around.

I click my tongue, trying to hold back the urge to fight my partner right now. Who would stop me, anyway?

"Alright, folks! It's the match you've waited for, the boy holding an unknown quirk with way too many functions, Izuku Midoriya! Fighting against the renowned explosion quirk, seemingly unlocking a new aspect, Katsuki Bakugo!" The cheers somehow get louder.

If I could wipe him out in one move...

The two of us stand face to face, hate on each of our expressions holding equal amounts of malice.

Midnight looks toward Cementoss, before returning her attention at us. Time moves as though it was in slow motion as I see her whip about to crack.

"Begin!"

Neither combatant hesitate, as both Bakugo and I instantly launch into our own attacks, my own starting with equipping my trident.

I reach out, trident in hand as thoughts and opportunities flood my mind.

Water Splash

It's abilities enhanced by my tool, seemingly having an affinity with water, bursts into life, with water falling to the ground before striking above Bakugo, again allowing gravity to take the reigns.

He looks up towards my attack, it worked, and in response I immediately launch my earthquake skill (concentrated as to not harm the audience), setting him off balance.

As the finishing blow, I promptly turn the water above him into ice, expecting Bakugo to be completely wiped out.

Except...

There was something I'd overlooked.

"DEKU!" He'd had his own arm outstretched, and I suddenly come to notice the growing sparks about to ignite in his palm.

The orange flame erupts from the blonde's hand, growing ridiculously, even having just been released. It begins to reach closer, as my mind suddenly switches gears.

I stamp my foot as hard as I can, allowing for the already strained earth to fall through, as I use my own strength to pile and seal myself under.

Well, at least I wasn't hit.

Using the teleport skill, I travel behind where I believed my opponent was previously.

I was too hasty with my choice of action.

Having predicted my plan, Kacchan stood with a battle stance still ready, immediately aware of my appearance.

He dashes towards me, starting with a left hook, seeing the opportunity to use his momentum to throw him over my shoulder, I immediately do so.

His back hits the floor, but he manages to teleport behind me, right back into position.

So is it an advanced version of Monoma's copy quirk?

As I falter upon thinking about the possibilities, I failed to see Bakugo launching another large explosion with enough time to dodge.

But this time, I face it head on.

Having been curious about this newfound 'immortality', I've considered testing its limits - and this is the perfect opportunity to do so.

The heat hits my face suddenly, taking me by surprise, an inaudible yell from midnight and the sound of concrete slamming against stone made their way into my ears right before I could inspect the explosions size.
