It was a normal day just like any other , mom was out back in her garden , dad was in his office finishing some important paperwork and my brother was in his room keeping to himself as always . I was washing the dishes when it happened , mom was so happy that her roses bloomed that she wanted to give the neighbors a fresh bouquet . When dad came down stairs he told me to watch over my brother while they went over to the neighbors house .
They said it wouldn't take long ... they lied
- Make sure your brother gets something to eat before he goes out to play , we dont want him catching more mice
- I got it , don't worry so much about us mom , its bad for your health
That was the last conversation I ever had with her . Hours went by and they still hadn't come home , I thought they were taking too long so I peeked over the garden wall to speak with Ms. Willow but she was all alone . I asked if she knew where my parents had gone off to , she said she hadn't seen them all day . I went back to the house thinking they'd be there in the morning . When I woke up the next morning my mother's roses were at our doorstep , and at the bottom of the basket , there bloodstained wedding rings . That day , me and my brother Kuro had become orphans.
