Chapter 4

Nursing a hangover from the weekend and cursing yourself not to drink again is not a great way to start the week but fuck that I don't regret partying one bit.
Thank God I decided to take a cab, I don't think I can survive riding a bus.

The cab stopped right in front of a tall building.
"Is this the place?"I asked the driver.
I didn't even notice when we got here. I was busy trying to come up with decorative ways to kill whoever dared me to drink a whole bottle of scotch.

"You said you were going to Bighit entertainment, this is it."he said.

"OH..Wow!" Thank you very much." I said paying the for the ride. I got down from the cab putting aside my frustrations completely sobered up.

Thank God I had breakfast this morning cos I believe I would have fainted after seeing my new work place.

"Thank you universe and that kind miss who got me this job" I said folding my hand in a subtle prayer.
I will make sure to kiss her the next time I see her.
This place is fine as... not hell but you get what I mean.

I stepped into the building, brushing my hand lightly over my thigh my eyes lightly scanning my surroundings before noticing a lady smiling brightly in my direction behind a large kidney-shaped reception desk.

I decided to approach her since she looked quite friendly and the only one who wasn't attending to phone calls like the other three people with her. Selling point, she just kept smiling my way. There's no way I can ignore her when all her eyes and where just telling me approach her.

"Hi! Good day, Am here to see a certain Mr. Ma. Is he available?."I asked putting on the most polite and expensive smile.

"Do you have an appointment? Miss?"she said.

"Yes actually. I was sent here by Mrs.Kim"I said already feeling out of place in my casual denim jeans and a cotton blouse.

"Ok, one sec, let me confirm your schedule"She said to herself, scanning through Mr.Ma daily planner,most probably.

A few clicks and phone call later, she was joined by another female, they spoke for sometime before she lead me to the elevator.

"Sorry for the slight delay, Mr Ma is currently not available,but we were asked to show you to the boss's office."she explained in the elevator.

We rode past a couple of floors got off and headed towards and office on the far side of the hallway.
Knocking lightly"Mr Bang?!"she called.

"Come in!" Whoever was on the other side of the door answered.

Smiling at me she opened the door with me following right behind her.
"Sir, The client Mr Ma asked to be directed to you has just arrived"she said stepping aside.

Said man raised his head from the screen of his computer smiling lightly at me. Returning a smile of my own I bowed towards the man in greeting he stood up extending a hand which I held in a handshake.

"Welcome Ms Knight, please have a seat."he directed me towards a seat. He said, gesturing at the large black armchairs before his impressive mahogany desk.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, You were scheduled to meet Mr Ma for this but he had to fly out this morning to handle an urgent matter, Hope you are ok and have no problem with me conducting this interview?".

Would you like anything? Coffee?Tea or a Glass of water?

"I am ok, thank you for the opportunity". I said bowing slightly".

There's no need to thank me. We are happy to have you join our little family, Moreover, we've heard so many great things about you and we are really glad and hope you choose to work with us." He lamented.
