Jina's POV My grandma's dead,parents wished they had a better daughter and I am standing in front of the airplane which will take me 13,568 km away from this hellhole.This is happening,this is happening.I get ready to board and take my respective seat.I got the window seat,things are already starting to happen according to my plan(I mean, yeah it's not that big of a deal but when things have been going exactly the opposite of what you had wanted for the past 19 years,you kind of feel blessed for even the smallest good thing that happens to you.)

Flight finally landed in New Haven,Connecticut.After putting in a lot of hardwork,I had gotten accepted into one of the ivy leagues- Yale University.Asked for directions,got to campus and was absolutely mesmerised by how beautiful it looked.It was a brown palace straight out of a fantasy movie.I was greeted by fellow undergraduates and chatted for some time,then was accompanied to my dorm.It was spacious,there were two beds and a large window which gave a beautiful view of outside.My roommate was yet to come.I got my things out from the suitcase,decided to take a shower and freshen up.My dorm was on the third floor and there was a co-ed bathroom.After my shower,I decided to head out and explore the city a little bit.While exiting the campus,I realised how attractive the people are at Yale and here I am,a big,fat potato.

I put in my earphones and started a playlist of The Weekend.A lot of things were going on inside my head-from leaving India and all the toxicity behind to shifting to an entirely different place,was overwhelming and at the same time exciting.
It was almost evening-the sky was filled with orange and red hues.I decided to take the short cut and get back to uni quickly.It was kind of a shady area.While walking,I came across a river and on the railing of the bridge,stood a man,ready to jump.
