Rosie ran upstairs on her hands and knees like a child, which she technically was right now. Her blanket dragged along the floor until she got to her chair.

Rosie thought for a minute before remembering where she left her password on the sticky note.

It didn't take long before she was logged into discord and waiting for the call from corpse. The computer made a noise from a call from corpse which startled the girl but she joined almost instantly.

"Corpse!" she shouts excitedly, wiggling in her chair.

"Rosie!" He shouted back making Rosie giggle because of the deep voice trying to shout like her. He smiled along with her not knowing how much it was going to grow during their time together. It was the highlight of his day or even week, even if corpse didn't want to admit it.

Corpse was a bold person until it came to her. He had said things on her Instagram and in person but she didn't realize it was him in the moment so it wouldn't matter what he was doing. What he also didn't realize was how attached someone could get to another.

"How are you corpse?" she didn't stop smiling, how doesn't one stop smiling. He breathed heavily through his nose contemplating telling the young girl's mind about how he was really doing. How he wasn't one to smile as she did  throughout her days. How he hasn't seen his friends in real life let alone his own sister. He didn't think she meant how was his life doing. Rosie was just being her kind and caring self not realizing the impact the question could have made on him if he wasn't slowly getting better already.

"I'm good thank you Rosie, how is my favorite little devil" The "devil" as he likes to call her pushed her hands into her cheeks feeling them burn up, they had started to hurt after smiling for so long. Almost as if she was trying to hide the tint of pink from corpse. He defiantly wasn't blind to the affect some things he said had on her but it may also be the observation he has over her. He could watch her talk or her listen to things all day.

Her eyes are wide and she sits with her elbows on her table and her chin resting in her palms, it was the most adorable thing he had ever seen.

"I'm amazing, I was watching jack before you called and it was so funny, I wanted to colour but i couldn't find any books" she frowned slightly. It wasn't something he liked to see on her but something he knew all to well.

"I'm sure you can find them later. If not i can order some for you? maybe some animal ones? or superhero's that would be cool wouldn't it?" He was going to try to distract her but that wouldn't have worked. He knew this little wouldn't give up till she found her colouring books.

"For now why don't we play mincraft or something?" The little girl gasped when she remembered they were playing mincraft.

"Yes please. could we play bedwars or build something or- or even make our own world?" corpse breathed a laugh through his nose too quite to be picked up by the mic.

"Okay slow down little one, how about bedwars first then maybe we can create our own world next time" This time there wasn't an exited squeal on the other side. The call  remained silent which grew a hard tension in the air. Rosie was speechless and corpse was beginning to worry.

"Rosie? Everything alright over there?" Still silence. Corpse thought for a minute, thinking over how she might be non-verbal if she got to a younger age but nothing he could think of would have made her age down further. "rosie, how old are you? you can put up fingers if you don't want to talk"

"How- why? why are you asking how old i am? You're not meant to know. How did you-" She couldn't form any proper sentances in this state. Making herself be pulled out of her space wasn't a good thing but hearing corpse say that was worse to her.

"I didn't mean-"

"No no i heard. Loud and clear" she whispered. "sorry i'm going to- Umm- bye corpse"

"Shit. shit. For fuck sake!" He shouts at the now blank screen, hitting beside the keyboard maybe a bit to hard.

Rosie pushed her back, still taken back by what had happened. She thought she could get away with being slightly childish during the night call but she wasn't fully understanding what was going on during today so he could've guessed. But how does he know about it? What if she thought to much about it? She couldn't stop overthinking.

She needed to talk to someone, maybe jack? But he's probably still streaming, what was i supposed to say anyways? Corpse may or may not know i'm a little and i freaked out and now i'm alone again because he probably hates me??

Pshhh if that's what she thought she was going to say she'd be completely correct.

"Rosie i promise you he doesn't hate you, he probably knows about this type of stuff, it's not too uncommon y'know"

"Are you sure? I just wanted to make more friends, plus how did i end up on call with him anyway? I rememeber watching your stream and then you had to go and corpse texted me. What- what did you do jack?"

Jack closed his eyes in fustration. He knew this was coming but he didn't know how to explain it fully before Rosie had any chance of taking his words and thinking something completly different. She was probably going to hear one thing before another and blame him for everything. Jack grew anxious, It wasn't hi fault, corpse said he had a hunch so it wasn't completely his fault but he knows it was a risky move to get corpse to look after her. But at the time rosie was too young to be left alone.

Hopefully she would see his side of it all.

"I asked him to talk to you, to look after you. BUT. but. before you say anything he said he thought he knew, he could sence the little type things you did and i couldn't leave you unattented without at least someone you could talk to if something happened. I'm sorry bear"

Bear. A name jack had given when to her when he first found out. She asked to have a big ear hug and then fell into a fit of giggles.

"I think i need some time to think. But i promise I won't forget to say goodnight, I'll talk to you tomorrow love you jack"

"I love you too bear" He didn't blame her, and he was glad she listened to the whole reasoning but he still wished she stayed to talk some more.
