Chapter 4

So far, we know Killmonger is gonna be alive, but we're tied for Villain or Hero. Till the tie is broken, N'Jadaka will not be included in the story, unless I end up getting to the point where the tie must be broken for the story to proceed.

- Mt. Justice - Jabori POV -

I was sitting in my room, dressed in nightwear, them being satin pajamas. I'm currently talking with Auntie Shuri right now, using one of my Kimoyo beads as a nano-tech projector. I had been explaining the happenings of past events that lead up to this point, and why I haven't visited yet.

Jabori: ...So, here we are.

I finished up the story.

Shuri: So you went from being trained by Batman, to having to supervise a team of impulsive children... I'm not missing anything, am I?

She spoke rhetorically. I chuckled at my Aunt's way of putting things, but she's not wrong,

Jabori: I wouldn't put it like that, but... yeah, I guess...

Auntie sighed to herself, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration.

Jabori: Anyway, how's mom?

Shuri: She's good. With K'ymera here to split the work with, she's not overworking herself nearly as much as she was at first

I nodded, (that's good. That means she can stay with us a while longer...)

Shuri: Well, anyway, I have to go. Got plenty of work to finish up due by the end of the week. Stay safe, nephew.

Jabori: You too, Auntie

We smiled at each other before the call ended and the nano-sand returned to the beads on my wrist. I sighed, laying back on the bed, before closing my eyes to get some sleep.

- Next Morning -

I walked through the halls of Mt. Justice, as I approached the Mission Room, where everyone waited. I was dressed in a black turtle neck, a pair of grey jeans, and a pair of "Sneakers" or whatever Auntie Shuri calls them. As I approached the end of the hall, I spotted the team, except for Robin and Kid Flash, standing in the center of the mission room. I walked into the room, before walking over to the team of teens.

Jabori: Morning guys

Superboy: 'Morning

MM: Good Morning, Jabori!

Miss Martian and Superboy greeted. I looked to Aqualad as our eyes met, he nodded to me as I nodded back, before turning back to Miss M.

Jabori: So, Miss M, what're we waiting for?

MM: Oh, Robin and Kid Flash should be here soon, after that, we're gonna ask Red Tornado if we have any missions yet

That... kinda caught me off guard. They've only been here a week, why're they already looking for a mission, not to mention...

Jabori: Didn't Batman say he'd contact us if we had a mission? If so, why're we asking Red Tornado about something we already know?

MM: Well, we all agreed that it's getting kinda boring doing nothing the whole time...

Jabori: But we-

I was interrupted by the boom tubes, as the computer announced Robin and Kid Flash's arrival...

Computer: Recognized: Robin, b02; Kid Flash, b04

I crossed my arms together as Robin and Kid Flash ran over to us, obviously looking forward to getting a mission...
