𝟖. Can we just not do the Time Travel thing?

My world spun. Green, purple, green, purple. Too many flashing lights. Too much movement. Dizziness was a terrible thing to feel in your cranium. The word 'multiverse' is defined as an infinite realm of being or potential being of which the universe is regarded as a part or instance. How I ended up in one? There was no definite answer. Time and Alternate Realities are not the same thing. Karl, master of time, can see the past, present, and future within the confines of this reality. Yesterday. Tomorrow. My death date. His birth.

His book shouldn't have brought me into that universe.

It's not meant to be possible.

That is most likely why when I eventually lifted my body off the floor of the journal room, Karl was staring into my skull. A mixture of anger, confusion, and fear on his usually happy face. I sat up, turning to sit on the floor, instead of standing on my feet. I still had the shit I had stolen from Kinoko Kingdom in my pockets. He wore his many watches, his colorful hoodie, and his goggles. He was hugging the book in his hands.

"Tommy--" He started. "-- Before you say anything, or try to explain yourself. Know that while you did whatever that was in the other reality, the book wrote down your every move." He opened the book to a random page. It described me talking to my mother. It went into detail of Phil's wings, my banter, and her eyes. I gaped.

"You have been passed out for a full day. You spent months in that universe. You spoke to DreamXD. You changed an entire timeline's fate, by forcing your 'character' to switch sides. Time itself has to rewrite the script because of you. You messed with forces even XD-- is scared to touch too much."

I raised my head to Karl, embarrassed. "hauh.., urm.., hey big man. Sorry about that.." I nervously laughed. Karl grimaced at me.

"You don't fully understand the consequences of your actions."

"Look, I didn't mean to mess shit up. It is how it is." I shrugged, pulling myself off the ground. "Everything happens for a reason, mate-- Or at least that's what Phil told me."

I walked past him. I scrapped the bottom of my foot on the ground. There was a weird green slime/gum stuck on it. Oh well. I then started to climb the ladder to the trapdoor. "It was fun figuring out your secret, though! Thanks for the free trauma, boss man! Had fun. Wouldn't recommend though. You aren't getting a good review on yelp!"

Karl watched me climb through the exit in shock. He looked down at the journal in his arms, contemplating it's newly found ability. I'm definitely going to steal more from here because of this bullshit.

I'm so tired.

I walked through my prime path. Present day. No dumbass alternate universe. I'm home, finally. Fuck Dream. Fuck family. Fuck strange books you find in a secret library that you are obviously not meant to read.

I eventually found my way to Snowchester.

I walked up to the cottage and knocked on the door. A tall enderman opened it, holding a sleeping piglin.

"Ayup, Ranboo (and Michael). Where's Tubbo?"

"oh..! Um.. I think he is in the nuke room."

I thanked my friend and slowly closed the door, to not wake up the kid. I walked off the porch and turned to enter the nuclear weaponry workshop. I opened the door to see a small goat boy with overgrown hair hunched over his newest project.

My eyes stung with tears. The water sprung into my eyes and I couldn't stop it.

I ran to him and hugged my best friend from behind. As tight as I could. I'm not letting go this time. He won't leave me. He is safe if i'm with him. Dream can't hurt him.
