One of the few resets of the multiverse where Stain survives the main attack from Yani.

"Uncle Classic?" Classic looks over at Stain as he washes the dishes from lunch. "What was mama like?"

Classic stops, he looks away for a brief moment. He's not angry, just anxious. How do you tell a four-year-old that their mother is now the reason they're in hiding? How do you tell a kid that someone made their mom into a feral beast? How do you tell them that they watched Yani drag their mom away kicking and screeching?

Stain sits on the stool as he swings his feet. Stain leans onto the table while picking at his apple slices. Classic sighs as he stops cleaning the dishes before pulling off his gloves. He walks over to the island in the kitchen before sitting down across from Stain. Stain looked up at him with his bright teal and violet eyelights. The crescent moon-shaped birthmark on his cheek reminds him so much of Ink. He lovingly rubs Stain's cheek before pushing the apple slices towards him. Stain takes a bite of an apple slice before looking back at Classic for an answer.

"you know, kiddo," he leans over the marble island before quirking an eyebrow ridge. "your mom was very kind. pretty too. he always tried to do the right thing and make sure everything was fair for everyone." Stain stares at Classic with wonder as Classic rests his lower jaw on his fist. He closes his eyes as he talks. Teal and violet eyelights stare at Classic's lazy smile for more, always wanting to know more. "he always looked at everything from another perspective, just to see if he could understand someone else." He opens a socket to look at Stain before smiling again. "that's how your fathers came to love him." Stain giggles before sticking his tongue out.

Ew. Love.

Classic chuckles before sighing. "let's see. your mother's name was Ink, i think he was at least part french, but i never asked. besides, he came from one of the many AUs in our Multiverse-"

"Like Mr. Farmer!" Classic chuckles at his enthusiasm. Poor Mr. Farmer, Stain would never call him another name, he was just Mr. Farmer to Stain. He loves to visit his world where there are farms as far as the eye could see. Classic nods slowly.

"yes, like Mr. Farmer." He pushes the glass of water towards Stain as he closes his sockets once more. "Ink was around five feet, a little short but he could whoop someone's a-" His sockets snap open as he flushes a bright blue hue. "er- kick someone's butt. he had a long brown scarf, always wore it with a sash of colored vials. if i remember correctly, it was multicolored." Stain gasps before pointing to the small paint jars he carries everywhere in his sleeves. Cassidy chuckles as he nods. "yeah, like yours but with more colors." He remembers the times he would see a wave of the rainbow, knowing everything would be okay since Ink arrived.

Stain listened closely as Classic would talk about his parents. He always danced around what happened but Stain knew. Stain always did. He had a twin, Paperjam, at one point. He faintly remembers him clinging onto their other uncle: Cross. He knows something happened to his family. He remembers being thrown to Uncle Classic before teleporting somewhere else. He remembers crying for his mom, for his dads. He remembers trying to find Paperjam, yet not finding even a trace of him. So he listens to Uncle Classic telling him about his family, and it gives him hope that one day he'll find them.

He listens as Classic talks about adventures he went on with them. How Nightmare, Killer, and Error loved him so much. How Ink would do anything for his family. It only makes him want to be just like his mom. He giggles as Classic talks about his fathers as well. How dorky they were around his mom. He wants to roam the multiverse himself, meet new people, and protect the balance as his parents did.
