Author's Note

In the light of recent events, I think this is important to say.

Zayn leaving the band has been so emotionally draining for all of us; such an enormous blow. Naturally, I wanted to not write this fanfiction. But as I thought things over, Zayn leaving the band is exactly why I shouldn't discontinue this story. Zayn may have left One Direction, but nothing can take away these five incredible years he spent with all of us. Not even this. I hope that Zayn will return one day but, God forbid, even if he doesn't, we can't just forget him. More importantly, we can't forget the four boys who stayed on, who are obviously going through mental trauma at this moment. We can't leave them all alone.

I thought of writing this as a gift for my internet friends. But now, this is also sort of my tribute to Zayn. Maybe this is the last fanfiction that will have 5/5, who knows? Anyhow, I'm writing this story and if you read it, comment and vote, I'd be really happy and honoured.

The first chapter should be up by today, or tomorrow, at the least. Yes, Zayn will be very much a part of the story. It'll be a tad bit hard for me to write it but thankfully, it's alternate universe, so it shouldn't be that tough as well.
