"So... what's next? What are the Sheikah marriages like?" Warui stood up and turned my head towards the elder.

"Nothing large like a Hylian ceremony if that's what you're thinking. As you might already be able to guess we Sheikah aren't exactly known for big attention grabbing parties. That would be incredibly detrimental to our inconspicuous way of life."

"So a ceremony is done quietly and fast?" Warui asked.

"Correct. There are a few types of marriages we have- while engaged in combat, royal engagements, strategic marriages, and our quiet family marriages traditional to the Sheikah. Though we only do the last one nowadays, but in this case today it could be considered strategic."

"I know about the normal ones but what's the difference between between that and strategic?" Purah inquired.

"There have been moments in our history and in recent times where our clan has been forced to engage in political maneuvering for survival. Political marriages to secure alliances, or valuable resources. Not many clan leaders utilize such tactics during peacetime, which is the reason why our culture declined from a great technological power to just a small village of farmers. The main difference in a strategic marriage is that it often goes hand in hand with treaty making, and in normal marriages it's simply an engagement. Strategic marriages aren't hold to a high standard though due to it being viewed as a necessary sacrifice to bring security." The elder explained.

"When does old treaty making practices come up here?" Purah asked.

"Warui had suggested something akin to making a friendly relationship with the Sheikah before he arrived, and I anticipated a less pleasant noble wanting to take advantage of our situation. But since he is good hearted and both of you are unorthodox compared to your peers I don't see the issue with performing our usual standard small ceremony and having other details sorted out between me and him."

Purah promptly responded. "That sounds fine to me. Heh, I don't mind flaunting my new trophy husband off to my sister. Imagine her face! She's got a few guys around the village trying to woo her that she ignores, meanwhile I'm the one who marries first." She then turned to her newly acquired partner.

"I'm guessing we'll probably have a second marriage or party at your place? I might not exactly know a whole lot about Hylian nobles, but it isn't hard to take a guess that a upper class family like yours would celebrate differently then a small lower class village like ours."

"Yeah, it wouldn't be a good idea for me to invite any more Sheikah then your immediate family under normal circumstances. But otherwise for it'd be just fine for them to be over."

"Mmm, that makes sense to me- wait, me and family but not any friends? That doesn't sound like it's because of the upper class lower class difference thing if I can invite family, why would inviting other Sheikah cause an issue? Class difference?"

"We don't really look down at the Sheikah or try to intentionally disassociate with them, more like respectfully ignore- not actually because you could be considered commoners, but because of some of Hyrule's leadership problems. Although, I'm not actually sure if it's the number of Sheikah invited instead of who that might cause an issue." Warui trailed off.

Purah raised an eyebrow.

"I can explain it better on the carriage ride back, it's a longer topic of discussion."

The elder interrupted. "That is something I will agree with, and a topic you two can discuss some time later."

"Alright. But I'm interrogating you later on that!"

Warui nodded. "So how is this going to work?"

"The family will be present as I read the vows, once both partners accept it'll be done with. I already sent for Purah's sister and mother, so in the meanwhile we should get prepared for the ceremony. We don't need too much to get started, I just need to see if our priest is around. You two can socialize in the meantime." The elder exited the room, leaving only the soon to be wed couple.
