I swung around to the front of him and sat down on his lap. he just stared into my eyes. I felt as if he was touching my soul with his. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and slowly started leaning in to kiss him, but he pulled away. A tear left the corner of my eye. I grew sad inside, as I felt my heart drop. He has never denied a kiss before. Never.
I threw my head onto his right shoulder, and started bawling my eyes out. I felt like I was creating the Amazon River. I cried, and cried, and cried, up until he wrapped his arms around me and started rocking me back and forth.
"Joel, babe, are we okay?? Is there something between us?? Am I causing an issue for you??"
"No, not ever."
"Then why?? Why won't you let me kiss you??"
"I'm moving." he whispered softly in my ear.
"To where??" I asked with a quiver to my voice.
"Um, Utah..." he replied, letting one little tear sneak out of the corner of his eye, twinkling as it crept down his face. I wiped away the tear, and as I did, my eyes went blurry. Next thing I knew, I was in my room, in my bed.
"What happened??" I asked, slowly sitting up.
"You blacked out, but you're fine now." Joel whispered from next to me. I turned to my right to see him laying there, next to me. No shirt.
"Um, babe, weren't you wearing a shirt earlier??"
"Yeah. but I was hot, and you looked cold, so I gave it to you." I looked down. Hmmm. Comfy.
