Seeing her turned out into a strong woman was a great deal for me to be honest.

As her figure was walking further from me I thought what happened that made her this strong that she made such a strong statement. About not crying ever.

"She might not become a mother in future. If you're thinking what made her this strong."
Someone stated from behind.

As I turned around I saw that boy earlier.

"Who are you?" I asked our in hurry as if we weren't introduced earlier. I feel so embarrassed.

"Don't be embarrassed. I know you forgot because of the statement made by me." He replied as if he saw through my worry.

"I'm Naitik by the way. First cousin of Aakanksha Di." He greeted me by extending his hand.

"Hiii. Nice to meet you young man, I'm-

"Of course I know who you are. My Di was crazy about you when she was a teen." He cut my words in between.

"Was?" I felt a pang in my heart.

"Yeah was!. It's not that she doesn't like you guys anymore. But before she was like you see this man, tall and all handsome I'm gonna marry him one day." He mimicked her tone which made me snicker.

Was she really crushed over me that big and I was all unaware? I mean I was friendzoned.

"So what happened that her feelings were gone? And why can't she become mother?"

"Well about the feelings I have no idea. It happened after Raksha Bandhan I guess. She was kind of devastated. And then after sometime she was all OK. She fully focused on her studies, her fitness... herself."

I think that he's talking about that day.

"She turned out to be a topper in her 12th class. With the best marks making Badi maa and papa proud. She also lost extra weight during the process..."

I am happy that she took care of herself.

"But she met an accident. " his face fell.

"She was on her way to give her entrance for medical exam (NEET). Some students were making a violence scene in front of the exam center. Riot you can say, I state that as foolishness. Just bunch of fools wasting their time in unnecessary troubles instead of studying. The police took incharge of stopping them. I can guarantee the students involved in the violence, not even a single one of them was an examinee. "

He continued.

"Di got trapped in between the crowd as she tried to enter the exam center. And among the push and pull she got hit my a bat in her head. But this wasn't enough....she was pushed out...ou...out of the mob and she came under a truck.... Badi maa called MY mother as soon as Di was hospitalized. We usually travel by bus as the distance is about to be traveled in 4 hours. I remember, I was in 7th grade. Dad picked me while mom was crying hard in the backseat. We didn't pick my little brother. I was asking what happened, but mom was crying continuously. Dad told me about Di. I thought she was mean, how can she die without giving me the chocolate she promised to give me when she'll come after pandemic....his voice was trailing off in between as of trying to control his tears............I now laugh at my kid self. As we reached the hospital she was in the ICU. Completely lying lifeless in the bed with all those needles and IVs injected in her body. The situation of Badi maa and papa was worse. Mom and maasi maa were trying to stop her but they too were crying. Bade papa, papa and mousa weren't crying but I know that they too were feeling worse. Pallavi Di was with me acting all strong that everything will be all right.....he laughed...she truly is an iron lady.
