Chapter 12

After a while they broke from that hug, Galaxina asked: "Why are you here?"

Everybody decided to take a seat, then they started talking about Christmas, once again Tails tried to explain it to everybody.

Earthia was surprised, then she asked: "Really? A day where nobody fights, is it really so important?"

Tails smiled and said: "Actually, Christmas, like every other special day, is more a tradition than a law, nothing force people to act differently, but Christmas is really special, more than every other day"

Earthia wanted to know more about that day, and not only her, Cosmo and Galaxina were listening carefully to him.

Tails started thinking about Christmas' story, but he thought it was almost impossible for him to explain everything, so he said: "I think that it'd be better if we read a story, it'll help you understand Christmas".

Earthia: "Can't you explain it by yourself?"

Tails: "It's really hard, I think it's better if I read you the story that gave the conception we have nowadays about Christmas."

Earthia thought it was a wonderful idea, so Tails said: "Cosmo, may you go to the ship and find the book called: "A Christmas Carol"?

Cosmo nodded and asked: "Why don't you go by yourself Tails?"

Tails: "I'd wish to avoid bothering the guards with this, so, can you?"

Cosmo said worried: "But, you told me that the ship is dangerous if it's not powered Tails".

Tails: "It is powered Cosmo, the chaos emeralds are still installed on that ship, it doesn't need to be turned on, it's safe Cosmo"

Cosmo then smiled and said: "Ok, I'll go, where is it?"

Tails told her where she could find that book, then Cosmo said: "Now that I think about, I'd like to take more things and bring them here, can I take a guard to help me?"

Earthia smiled and accompanied her outside, when Cosmo left, Earthia told a guard to help her, then she got back inside to her seat.

While Cosmo was away, Earthia couldn't hide her surprise on their love story, so she said: "Tails... you have no idea how many seedrians died because of animals"

Tails asked worried: "Why? What do animals did to seedrians?"

Earthia said: "They did exactly what you did to Cosmo, but eventually, all of them, ended up on killing us, just because they were hungry".

Tails got worried, he thought that Earthia was thinking the same about himself and asked: "WHAT?"

Earthia the smiled and said: "Don't worry Tails, the longest relation I've ever heard, except yours, was only 1 month, so I'm not worried about you"

Tails took a breath of relief, then she continued: "I wanted to tell you that, sadly, you'll never be totally welcomen on our planet because of that, but I'll always welcome you here."

Tails: "Thank you... your highness"

Earthia giggled and said: "You can call me Earthia ok?"

Tails nodded and said: "Ok, Earthia, thank you... Now that I'm thinking about, how is it possible that you're a queen?"

Earthia didn't understand and asked: "Why is it so strange to you Tails?"

Meanwhile Cosmo got back inside, she was curious exactly like Tails, so she decided to wait and hear everything too.

Tails said: "Well, it's been only about a month, that I don't see you... and I know that you were dead"

Earthia: "How do you know that?"

Tails: "Because it's me who brought you back alive, did you forget?"

Earthia admitted it and said: "Yeah, you're right, sorry"

Tails: "No problem... however, how is it possible that you're already a queen only after a month?"

Earthia explained him that she was a queen before she died and she was the greatest queen the seedrian have ever had.

She got back to their planet because she knew that probably they needed their guidance.
The first moment they saw her, everyone asked her to be their queen, she couldn't and she didn't want to refuse.

Tails smiled and said: "Thanks for the explaining, I'm glad that you're so great for your planet"

Earthia: "You're welcome... you know, I'm so glad to see Cosmo so happy with you."

Tails smiled and said: "I'll do everything I can for her"

Earthia smiled, then she just noticed that Cosmo got back.

Cosmo replied: "Thank you Tails"

Tails got surprised hearing her voice, he smiled and replied: "No problem honey".

Then he turned his head asking: "Did you find that boo... WHAT?"

Cosmo: "Yes Tails, and I brought you something else too"

Cosmo got back to them with 4 different things:

-The book that Tails asked
-Sherry
-Tails' guitar and translator.

Tails was very agitated, he said: "Cosmo, I told you: that was our secret, why did you brought it here?".

Cosmo replied saying: "Tails, they're my mom and my sister, I want them to hear you too"

Tails was red, he said: "Cosmo, I told you I never played it with many people, and I wanted to play it only for you".

Cosmo: "Well, then play it for me Tails".

Earthia: "How romantic you 2 are guys, I love this scene".

Both Tails and Cosmo were red after hearing Earthia, then she asked: "What did you brought here Cosmo?"

Cosmo answered to her mom: "This is Tails' guitar, he's able to make a wonderful music with it" then Cosmo showed the flower on a pot to her and said: "And this... she's our dear daughter Sherry, now that she's here we're really a family".

Earthia smiled and took the flower saying: "I'm happy to see that you're taking care of her"

Tais: "Yeah, I love her so much... I never stop taking care of her"

Cosmo smiled and said: "Don't try to escape Tails, I wanted you to play some music"

Tails wanted to find a way out of that situation, so he said: "Weren't we talking about Christmas?"

Cosmo wanted to keep pressing Tails, so she said: "I was wondering, do you know any Christmas song? And can you play it?"

Earthia decided to help him and said: "Cosmo, I don't think you should insist, if he doesn't want to play music, don't force him please."

Tails: "Thank you Earthia"

Cosmo accepted, but she really wanted to hear Tails, so she asked: "But... will you play something later" then she hugged him and said: "Please Tails."

Tails took a deep breath and replied with a hug: "Ok, I'll do it later".

Cosmo: "Thank you Tails" then they kept hugging for a while.

Earthia decided to help him calm down, so she said: "You wanted to read us a story, right?"

Tails broke the hug and said: "Yes, now, let's sit and read this wonderful story, it's not long, but it's really beautiful".

Everyone took a seat once again, and Tails started reading, but he just made a thought and said: "When this story was written, everybody thought about Christmas like a normal day, it was nothing special, but it's supposed to be special."

Galaxina asked: "Why are you telling us this?"

Tails answered: "Just imagine for a while about Christmas this way, if you do, you'll understand what it actually means for us"

Everyone nodded, then Tails started reading: "This story talks about..."

Tails enjoyed reading that story once again, it's always touchy.

Everyone else was smiling, they enjoyed the story too, then Tails asked: "So, did you understand what's Christmas?"

Earthia: "I have to say that it really seems a beautiful day".

Galaxina: "Yeah, receiving many presents and stay with the people you love, wonderful".

Tails corrected her saying: "Galaxina, you're wrong, It's not about receiving presents, but giving them"

Galaxina couldn't understand, so she said: "Why just giving? It has no sense"

Cosmo actually understood what Tails meant, so she said: "Galaxina, how is it possible to receive a present, if nobody give it to anybody?"

Galaxina thought that it was right, then Tails continued saying: "That's right and, if you give someone a present, the appreciation you receive after that is something really wonderful, you cannot imagine".

Galaxina: "Really?"

Tails: "Yeah, and talking about presents, I have one for you all".

Everyone got surprised and opened wide their eyes, Earthia asked: "What's that present Tails?"

Tails replied saying: "I don't want to spoil you the surprise, come on" then he got on his feet and headed outside.

Cosmo blocked him and said: "Tails, you didn't tell me that, what did you bring here?"

Tails refused to answer and headed outside, he said: "Do you want to see it?"

Everyone was surprised to hear that, they couldn't wait to discover what Tails brought them, however Earthia blocked him and said: "Wait Tails, let me go first".

Tails accepted and allowed Earthia to go outside first, she leaded them all to Tails' spaceship.

Earthia: "So, what's your present Tails?"

Tails answered: "Wait here, I'll brought it here in a moment", then he headed inside the spaceship by himself.

Earthia asked Cosmo: "What did he brought here Cosmo?"

Cosmo: "I have no idea at all mom, he told me nothing"

Galaxina: "What should we expect from him?"

Cosmo smiled and thought about every present he did to her, then she answered: "To be amazed mom... everytime he made me a present, I ended up on being amazed".

After a while they noticed something from the ship, an elevator was lowering Tails with a machine.
