Chris POV
2 Weeks Later
NXT Taping
I sat alone at a table, eating a small bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos with a Sprite can. It's been tough these last couple of days. I havent really talked to anyone but Keku and Scarlett, but even then it's not like I called them everyday. I just want to be left alone, I need time to think about things. However, I do have a job to do, so it doesnt matter if Demi is here or not.
Superstars passed my table without saying a word. Quite frankly, I was ok with that. Surprisingly I havent seen Keku or Demi at all today for whatever reason. Not that I care of course.
"Yo Denton." A voice says from behind me
I turn around in my seat to see Keku, Scarlett and Shotzi Blackheart approaching me.
"Hey." I say, waving at them
"Sup man. Everything ok?" Keku asks
"Uh, yeah. I was just thinking to myself is all. What about you guys?"
"Well I got some good news. Me and Shotzi are a tag team now." Scarlett says smiling
"Really? That's great guys. I'm happy for you both."
"Thanks. And guess what? We're being booked to be the first NXT Women's Tag Team Champions next month. Gosh I'm so happy for us Scar." Shotzi says, hugging the blonde bombshell
"Wow that's really cool, but I thought youd be going for the main title. Who's winning that?" I ask
"Who did Hunter say that was gonna win.....Oh right, Demi."
My heart sank.
"R-really..?"
"Yeah. Hey are you ok? You look sick." Shotzi says
"Chris? Hello?" Scarlett snaps her fingers in my face
"Uh...what?"
"Dude are you ok?" Keku asks
"Uh yeah. I gotta get ready for my match. I'll catch you guys after the show."

10 minutes In
Chris Denton vs Austin Theory
Austin and I were trading blows in the ring, hard right forearms going in our faces. Austin knees my gut, dropping me to one knee. He picks me up, throwing me out of the ring. I land hard on my back, as Asutin rolls out of the ring, tossing me into the steel steps. I get myself up just to be thrown back into the ring by Austin
"Get Up! Get Up!" Austin yells
I get to my feet, before being lifted up, Austin doing his signature move THE ATL, dropping me to the mat. He goes for the cover

I got my right shoulder up just before the ref counted to 3, shocking Austin and the NXT crowd. He gets up, rolling out of the ring, arguing with some random fan heckling him. I wipe the sweat from my forehead, adjusting my vision to the bright stage lights. I got myself up, leaning against the ropes for leverage. Austin rolled back into the ring, approaching me. He grabs me but I reverse it, throwing him into the turn buckle.
I throw Austin on the floor, climbing to the top rope. I did a little taught before I jumped off the turnbuckle. Austin moved out of the way, sending me crashing to the mat.

Keku's POV
Shotzi, Toni, Scarlett, Rhea and I were watching Chris's match with Austin Theory and to be honest, he looked extremely good out there. They were both beating the shit out of eachother. Then I saw Chris go to the top rope. He never does high flying moves, his knees cant handle them.
"Chris what the hell are you doing?" I yell at the screen, scaring the girls
"Keku is everything ok? You seem worried." Toni asked
"Yeah I am worried Toni, about Chris. He never does high flying spots, hes never done them actually."
"But I dont understand, what's the problem here exactly?" Scarlett asks
I rub my eyes out of frustration
"The problem is that his knees are very fucking fragile. He can use them well but they dont do well from high areas."
Everyone's eyes went wide, hearing what I had just said. We return our attention to the TV, as Chris flew off the top rope. Austin somehow managed to dodge Chris but, what we saw next scared me. Chris fell to the mat, his leg falling directly onto his body weight. We sat in horror as he began to scream and grab his leg in agony.
"NOO!" I say, covering my eyes "FUCK! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN, SHIT CHRIS."
"Oh my god. Look at his leg, its bending sideways." Scarlett says, covering her eyes
"Oh jesus. That's bad." Toni says, rubbing my shoulder

Chris's POV
I fell directly onto my leg, causing it to snap. I grabbed the thing, tears forming in my eyes. Austin stood there in shock, running over to help me.
"FUCKKK!!!! AUSTIN PIN ME ALREADY PLEASE!!! AHHHGRHH."
Austin pinned me, running out of the ring as medical personnel came out. They loaded me onto the streatcher, rolling me to backstage. I had my hands on my eyes, covering the tears that were rolling down my cheeks. My leg was in so much pain, but after a while it kinda went away, which worried me deeply. What if I have to get my leg amputated? Then my career is over, I wouldnt be able to support me or my family and friends. I dont want my friends and family suffer because of my slip up. If anything, I'd rather be killed so they can get everything instead of me sitting there doing nothing.
"CHRIS?? OH FUCK, A-ARE YOU OK?" I hear Keku shout, running towards me with Scarlett, Toni and Rhea trailing behind them, standing near a wall.
"Keku? Oh crap man I dont know. I cant feel my leg at all." I say, wiping a tear from my left eye.
Keku grabs his head, looking directly at my leg, which was still bent to the side, clearly broken. My mind was all over the place. On one hand, I just fucking snapped my leg and on the other hand, shes still on my mind. Weirdly enough, I cared more about how she was doing then me, the person who could be fucked for life. It might be because my mind and heart want her to come around and be the old Demi Bennett. I ask myself everyday why she isn't the same and quite frankly, I have no idea. To my knowledge she wasnt seeing anyone when we were friends. She'd literally just hangout with me most of the time. She would also hangout with Keku but not as much as she did with me. When I tell you that we didnt really leave each others side, I genuinely mean it.
"My leg is broken, everyone is worried about me and.....my best friend still isnt my bestfriend. I miss you....Dem" - Chris
