First Match

Chris's POV

I walked into the arena, excited for my opportunity tonight. Chris Denton vs Damian Priest. I've never actually faced him on the indies. I'd heard his name when he signed with WWE, but overall I had no idea who he was. I was an indy star, so I fought he even knew who I was either. None the less, we are both in WWE and we finally get to show the world who we are.

After placing my bags in my locker, I noticed someone walk into the locker room. It was my opponent for tonight, Damian Priest. I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself, why not.

"Hey dude." I say, as he turns around

"Oh shit, Your Chris Denton right?" Damian asked

"Yeah that's me. Nice to meet you."

"Same here man. Hows NXT so far?"

Chris shrugged his shoulders "Actually, it's not too bad. It's much better than the other indy fed I was in. It's a little weird tho?"

Damian raised his eyebrow, looking at Chris.

"What do you mean by that?" He asked

"I ran into a person who I hadn't seen in a while. It was extremely weird and confusing?"

"Who is it?"

"Rhea."

His eyes widened

"Really? Wow that's great. You two are finally in the same fed together."

"I dont think she remembers me. Or shes choosing to forget who I am. Honestly, I dont know why if she is doing this."

I started to think to myself. Rhea and I, we used to be great friends. We used to do everything together, you couldn't separate us. I was happy for her when she signed with wwe. I was heartbroken and all but, as long as she was happy, that's all that mattered. I liked being on the indies. Money was ok and I didnt have much responsibility. I took the wwe job because I want to prove myself to others. And I remembered that Rhea signed, however I didnt know that she was still here.

When I saw her face, all the memories and happy moments came flooding back into my mind. When she said she doesnt know who I am, I'm not gonna lie, that really hurt. Shit we used to travel together for 2 years. I'd pick her up from the show and drive her home most of the time. As I said before, we did everything together.

For all the time we spent together, we never got into a romantic relationship. We both had feelings for eachother, it was obvious. I guess we were too afraid to give up our friendship. We kissed a few times, and we slept together a couple of times as well. Weirdly enough, nothing ever was awkward for us, at all.

"Hey man, you ok?" Damian asked, snapping his fingers in front of my face.

"What? Yeah I'm fine, just thinking is all." I reply, smiling

"Thinking about Rhea, arent you?"

"Sadly."

"Dont worry about it too much. I think she'll come around. Shit, our match is in 30 minutes, let's get ready."

"Shit."

After The Match

Damian beat me, as planned. However he did make me look strong, as did I.

We made our way backstage, complimenting each other on our in ring work.

"Hey guys." Scarlett says

"Hey, what's up?" I ask

"Nothing much. Lost my match against Rhea, which kinda sucked."

"Are you hurt?"

"No, thank god. How are you holding up?"

"I've been better, no doubt."

"I think you'll be fine. Shes very ignorant and she has a big ego. She thinks she is the best when in reality, there are people better than her. If you can break her outer wall that she has up, you'll get to her. I havent done shit about it for me because I'm too lazy."

"Why not?"

"I dont know. That's your job buddy."

I shook my head, looking away from Scarlett. She was right, however, Rhea was the one who forgot who I was.

"I uh, I think I'll pass." I say sadly, walking back to the locker room.

I changed my cloths, packed them into my bag, walking out of the building. I was disappointed sure, I was upset. Rhea, a person I havent even seen today, was all on my mind. It feels like I'm connected to her, its obvious.

I drove to my hotel room, falling onto my bed.

Ring

I picked up my phone

"Uh, hello?"

"Sup"

"Keku? What the hell?"

"I got good news for you man. I just got signed by WWE today."

"What? Wait that's great fucking news. What the hell am I talking about."

"I'm glad your excited. I'm flying into Florida next week from the UK. I wanna meet up with you at the airport. Can ya make it?"

"Sure, why not? Call me when you land."

"Alright bro. See you then."
