It had become a regular occurrence for you to be disturbed in your room by Toga, demanding that you make something new for dinner that night. Given that the threats subsided the more you impressed with your cooking, the more enjoyable it all started to become. You actually felt yourself looking forward to Twice debating with himself over what to eat first. Spinner's shy reluctance to begin a conversation to ask for seconds- his appetite was impressive. Mr. Compress often asked if you needed any help in preparing any of the food before it was cooked, which was greatly appreciated. Especially since the League were not known for their patience. Every so often Dabi would return, but you heard no complaints that you had taken over the kitchen. In fact, it seemed he was pleased that he didn't have to worry about it anymore. And Tomura...
Well that was what was conflicting you the most. In his own subtle way, he was taking care of you. Making sure you remembered to eat, offering to buy any ingredients that you needed for new dishes that Toga was demanding. You were starting to settle down with the League and it frightened you. It's not like you wanted to stay, your old home had been so comfortable and happy. But here- it was lively, you had people around you most of the time now and they were always happy to see you. You thought about how worried Hizashi must be... but you had begun to debate whether or not he was worried about you or the fact that you were now a weakness in the hero agency's defenses. He had never treated you that way before... but- the way he was so ready to share your quirk with the rest of the heroes. Was that really to protect you?
Your jumbled thoughts were harshly interrupted as a bang echoed throughout the room. You sharply turned to the door that had slammed open and your face twisted with horror. Out of the doorway tumbled Twice, Toga, Mr. Compress, Hawks, and Tomura. Dabi who had been sitting in the living room reading shot up from his seat and scowled seeing them all battered and bruised. You immediately left the hob and ran over to Toga holding her upright while Twice was on her other side. "What happened?!", the panic in your voice was apparent. Toga coughed a little and smirked, "I'm fine really- Those heroes just don't know when to quit".
A pang of guilt shot through you as you heard Tomura's voice in your ear, "They attacked us today- Seems like they are looking for their precious liability after all". You glanced down at Toga as you placed her on the sofa, Dabi had walked off to get some first aid kits as you just stood there. You glanced around at the others, seeing their usual liveliness drained from them as they struggled to keep a brave face. Some of their clothes were torn, their wounds pooling blood into the fabric. Scratches and scrapes adorned them and you clenched your fists, how had you never considered this before? The heroes aren't the only ones who get hurt during battle. As Dabi returned, you helped him patch everyone up.
Pouring disinfectant on Twice's arm caused him to yelp, "Owch! Owch! It stings!" "No, it doesn't! I can barely feel it" "I want a cool purple bandage". Unlike your usual interactions with Twice you just couldn't bring yourself to smile and laugh, knowing that the cause of his pain was ultimately, you. You could hear the occasional hiss of pain as the others were treated and it was tearing you up inside. Once everyone was more comfortable you stood up barely able to look anyone in the eye. "I'm so sorry... that you all had to suffer so much on my behalf. I didn't mean for this to happen-". Tomura felt a smirk rise on his face as he saw your shaking figure ridden with guilt. It sent shockwaves through his body as the empathy that you clearly felt was so visible on your face.
Hawks was about to speak but he was cut off immediately as Shigaraki began to speak, "Well I am sure that we would all appreciate a good meal... ". He looked to the others for confirmation and was met by eager nodding and agreements. "I can say for sure, that would be most delightful~", you heard Mr. Compress say with a dashing gesture of his arm. Twice tried to do the same but ended up yelping in pain as he moved his injured arm. You could see the faint energy returning to the room and it pulled you back toward the kitchen. All you wanted was to see them smiling and happy again- if your food was the way to do it then that is what you would do. It was the least you could do.
At this, Hawks shot a look at Shigaraki clearly picking up on his manipulation of you. But his gaze was not met for his attention had returned to Dabi as they discussed what took place during the attack. Keigo bit the inside of his cheek, frowning in thought, how was he going to get you out of here? He just needed more time. It didn't help that they ran into the heroes today as now there would be tighter security and restrictions on you. If he could just get to the heroes association to disclose your location or something, without the League realising then he had a chance. Before your loyalty was entirely shifted in the wrong direction. He felt as though he didn't have much time left.
Present Mic POV
It has been a week since you were taken by the League and it was absolutely destroying him. Every night he returned to an empty apartment and he hadn't realised how much you brightened up the room. Always creating a warm welcoming atmosphere for him to return home to. He really was starting to think of you as more than just a favour, but maybe even his own daughter... Some nights Aizawa came back to the apartment, noticing that the meetings regarding your disappearance were taking a toll on Hizashi. But there wasn't much he could do other than offer his company for a short while before going on patrol or preparing for a lesson the next day with his students.
All-day all Hizashi thought about was whether or not you were being treated well by the League. He hoped they hadn't threatened you or hurt you in any way. Every so often he would turn the light on in your room just to pretend that you were safely back there, enjoying a book or eating some snack that you had managed to sneak in. He chuckled at the fond memory. He pulled his phone from his pocket as he felt a faint buzz and his eyes widened as he saw it was from the heroes commission. This late?! He opened the text and a small glimmer of hope sparked in him as he read...
11:45 PM Nezu:
