Chris walked into the bar as I sat swirling my drink. I was sitting with my friends who had decided to invite his new girlfriend along. And of course she felt she had to bring him along.

He sat next to her, directly in front of me.

I busied myself with my phone and stared into my drink as I swirled it with the straw.

People started cheering drawing my attention to the stage.

I smiled as Jack stood in front of the microphone.

I felt Chris's gaze on me before turning towards the stage.

"Hi... So tonight I thought I would sing for you guys." Jack smiled.

I laughed, quietly to myself.

"Only one person has ever heard me sing and we have known each other for... ever... So _____, this is for you." Jack smiled.

I blushed as everyone turned to glare at me.

Jack made a bee line towards me into the song.

"I hope he buys you flowers." He sung, glancing daringly at Chris who looked at me.

Jack took my hand and dragged me up onto the stage.

By now I am sure I am bright red and want to be swallowed by the ground.

"When I was your man" Jack sung the last line.

Everyone clapped as he pulled me into a hug.

"Long time no see." He whispered into my ear.

"So..." Jack said, into the microphone, grasping my hand tightly.

I looked over at the table to see Chris's tense form.

"Who would like to hear my beautiful..." Chris sat up straighter. "Friend sing?"

The audience cheered and clapped, I couldn't help but internally grin when Chris relaxed at 'friend'.

"No." I cried, at Jack, trying to pull my hand out of his.

"You have a beautiful voice." He said, making the audience demand me more.

I groaned, nodding.

"Okay..." I blushed, standing in front of the microphone.

"I guess I could sing Rolling in the Deep by Adele... I won't match Jack's performance of Bruno Mars When I Was Your Man... But here it goes." I said.

- - - -

"We could of had it all, rolling in the deep" I sung. "You had my heart inside of your hand"

...

"But you played it... Played it to the beat." I sung out the last note.

Everyone stood up cheering as I hastily made by way back to the table.

"Beautiful... Excellent." Jack cheered.

Chris scowled at me.

I grabbed my coat and my handbag placing a couple if notes on the table before making a hurried exit.

I got outside, raining of course. I pulled my jacket on and tried to wrap the thin material around my body.

I was waiting for the bus when I heard heavy footsteps.

"_____!" Someone shouted at me.

I turned to see Chris running through the rain.

I turned and started to run myself. In heels... Not the best idea.

- - - -

I felt warm arms wrap around my waist as I couldn't stop myself in time before running out onto the road.

"Let me go Chris." I cried, turning to face him.

"Who did you sing that to?" He asked, pushing me up against a shop wall, sheltering me from some of the rain.

"Nobody." I said.

"It sounded like you were singing it to me." He said.

"Same old arrogant Chris Evans... No wonder I left " I snapped.

"So it was?" He asked.

I didn't say anything I just looked at the floor.

He lifted my chin up with his index finger, placing a strand of my wet hair behind my ear.

"Chris..." I started.

"I made a mistake..." He said, kissing me on the lips.

"I was blind... And I couldn't see the love in front of me..." He said.

"Chris..." I started.

"I want to make it up to you.. I want to show you my love... But I'm afraid you mightn't let me in." He said.

"I... I..." I was speechless.

"I love you _____, and I want the whole world to know." Chris said.

"I love you too." I whispered.

He looked down at me. Something flickered through his eyes... It almost looked like hope.

His lips found mine again. I found myself melt into it.

"Lets get out of this rain, you'll freeze." He said.

"You will too. Strip you of you acting and you aren't a super soldier." I smiled.

He went to tickle me. Knowing it was a weak spot.

I ran for it. I didn't see much point. He would catch me in these heels, he would catch...

I wriggled in his hold as he tickled me.

"Okay, soldier you win." I squealed.

He laughed and pecked my cheek, taking my hand as we went back to mine...
