There is some Russian spoken in this part, I put the translation at the end of the paragraph that it is being spoken in. :)

The mission was going the same as any other, it was meant to just be a get in and get out type of mission. Until it all went awry. Clint, Bucky, Nat, and I were rushing through a hydra base trying to find the information that we needed to gather, as well as take out as many people as possible. It was all going smoothly until we were all completely separated from each other, usually we have it so that it's two groups of two running around. But when Bucky and I got split up the agents took advantage of it.

We had been separated for quite some time and I hadn't fully realized it, but then Barton spoke through the coms trying to get my attention.

"Y/n! We need you quick, we have a situation." His voice was panicked and calm at the same time."

"Where are you?" I said, and started looking around the room for Bucky.

"3rd floor, southwest counter room. Hurry." That's the moment when the realization kicked in, that Bucky and I had been separated for a while now. What if Hydra got a hold of him somehow?

As fast as my legs would carry me, I ran towards the location that Clint gave me. Who knows, it could be nothing, but if it is what I think it is then we are all in deep trouble. I ended up running into a small issue on my way down the stairs, agents upon agents started to follow me once they realized I was on the staircase. Under my breath I cursed myself for not thinking of a smarter way to get there.

On the 5th floor I ran into one of the rooms, panting, hoping that they didn't catch what room I was in. Gunshots sounded throughout the floor, assuming that they shot mindlessly every time they entered a room. One of those gunshots ended up being a lot closer than it should have been, barely missing my head by centimeters, wiping my head around there was a Hydra agent. An agent that somehow didn't know that I was there. Without a second thought my hand went to the holster on my thigh, grabbing out the handgun that rested inside it, but the small noise I made was enough for him to notice.

"она в этой комнате-" He started to say, before I shot him to the ground. (She's in this room-)

For a few more seconds I stayed hidden, just to make sure that if anyone did in fact hear the agent say anything, then I wouldn't be found. Enough time had passed (a few minutes), and it felt alright to leave the room, I left and started to run. I ran so fast that I could've collapsed when I got the location where I was to meet Clint, I didn't though.

When I walked in it was cold and there was no one there, not even Clint. "Clint" I called out hoping that he might answer me, but there was nothing in response. 'Was I at the wrong place' I thought to myself while staring at the ground. Out of nowhere someone came up behind me and knocked me to the ground. I was shocked to say the least when it was Bucky who had done it. On the ground with blood trickling down his face was Clint, who was still awake and alive but seemed to be feeling dizzy from what I could see.

Turning my attention back to Bucky, his eyes were cold and dead, with no expression to be seen on his face. His hair hung in front of his face, not brushed behind his ears like he sometimes tended to do during missions. It was horrifying to see, the guy that I had gotten really close to over the past few years turned into the monster that haunts him in his sleep, the one he hoped he would never see again.

As I was caught in my head about what was going on in the moment, he started walking closer to me, and I had yet to notice until he was standing above me. On the verge of taking a swing at me. With just a second to spare I jumped from the ground, half ready to fight and half still caught in a daze. Bucky, or rather the Winter Soldier, went for his swing just missing my face by a fracture of an inch.
