Cold water and lonely nights

Authors pov:
After Gomez and Morticia had left, The three Addams children were stuck. Stuck in the sunshine and in a weird forest. Pugsley sat on a nearby rock as Wednesday tried to make a fire with a tree and Y/n..She just thought. Thought about what Debbie's next move could be. Before she could think anymore, the brunette boy with glasses came over to her. "Hi I'm j..Joel." "Y/n Addams" she said as she stuck out her arm. He took her hand and shook it. Before they could continue Garry Granger had started to speak. "Ok my Chippewa buddies, it's time to get in our swimsuits!" The children rushed to the cabins and got changed.

Y/ns Pov:
Amanda and her buddies were like when the family have big get-togethers and mother makes us have another spirit contest. There fun but when the whole family watch you it's kinda scary. Basically you have to get a bat and go to a grave of a fellow Addams. Then start whacking the bat on the grave until a shriek comes out of the grave. It's scary because some of the married in Addams are very judgemental and in this case Amanda is one of those. She judged me for wearing black instead of the Chippewa colours which is orange. I got changed into a grey swimsuit and got out of the cabin. As we made our way to the board Amanda tried to push me in the icy water but I had something else planned. Garry started about how if we do this we could get a certificate. I looked over to see Pugsley who was teamed with that Joel kid. To be honest I actually kinda liked him. He reminded me of my father. But he had that shyness but turns out to be a bit cocky.

It was funny seeing him in a swimsuit. I couldn't help but snicker at him quietly while Wednesday bullied Amanda into nearly dying. It was crazy. But Joel did catch me staring at him but he didn't mind. He smiled. At me. No one has ever smiled at me other that mother, father, grandmother, uncle Fester and Lurch but Lurch had this smile that kinda scared you a tiny bit. But when Joel smiled it made me feel something in side. I felt...happy that's the word happy.

5 hours later
Y/ns Pov:

We were getting ready to bed. Before I got into bed I wrote Lurch a note:

Dear Lurch
How are you? I hope your doing well . Summer camp is weird. Everyone is so cheery all the time and no one understands us. Except this one kid. His name is Joel and he's really nice. How's Mother and Father? Are they ok? Also any news about Debbie? I still have a weird feeling about her. Anyway it's nearly past camp cerfew and I think Garry and Becky don't really like us. Well I'll write to you soon.

After I finished writing, Amanda had challenged Wednesday to finish the ghost story. She didn't really want to but I knew what she wanted to say. I tapped her shoulder in question to do her task. She nodded as I started to terrify the girls.

"The next the ghost returned. He started to whisper "I know you don't believe in me. So I'm going to do something that will make you realize my existence." And when the campers woke up the next morning.... All of their old noses had grown back!"

The girls were terrified. They screamed their heads off. Me and Wednesday looked at them, smirked then went to sleep but something was wrong. The girls went to sleep minutes after my terrifying story and Wednesday had also passed out an hour later aswell but something wasn't right until just then a letter came flying through my window:

To Miss Y/n Addams
I just checked to see if Garry and Becky were up and they aren't so if you would like to meet me at the lake at 12:30am I'll be waiting at the benches.

I didn't smile but I felt like it. So I put on my boots and went to the lake. Tonight might not be lonely as I thought
