Forbidden Love

Chapter 5- The Invitation

I walked with Landry down the stairs to the dance floor. It was packed full of people dancing, talking, and even making out. I shook my head as we walked into the floor.

Mr. Saxobeat by Alexandra Stan was blasting over the speakers. I found the beat fast and started making up a dance to match. I smiled as Landry started to dance along.

I turned around because someone had tapped me on my shoulder. Standing in front of me was my friend Taylyn. I've known her since we were 9 and she tops all when it comes to my friends because she has always been there to cheer me up when no else could. Not Elyse, not Kameron. Taylyn was my one friend I could always count on.

She was holding a white envelope with a blue wax seal in the shape of a rabbit.

"T, what are doing here?" I yelled over the music so she could hear me.

She motioned for me to follow her. I looked back at Landry to see him flirting with a girl. He saw me and motioned that it was okay for me to leave.

I followed her off of the floor and to the bar. We both ordered drinks and sat down on a stool.

"Aurora, you know how my birthday is coming up in 2 weeks?" I nodded. "Well I'm having party at the resort we used to go to when we were in college." That perked my interest because neither of us had been back in years.

"Why there?" It was in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains but it was never actually cold. We always went there during the summer before we went back home to see our families.

"Because that place is where have some our greatest memories and I want more amazing memories there." She haned me a the envelope and turned back towards the bar to

I broke the seal opening the envelope. It was a light shade of pink and it said Taylyn's Birthday Party At The Barrier Reef Resort. I could bring a plus one. I have to decide who to bring. Maybe I'll bring Landry or maybe Kameron. It was a costume party too. I'd have to go find a really good one.

I looked over back to the bar to find Taylyn missing. I wasn't really surprised because she did it all the time.

I walked back to my office and looked back at the dance floor before going back up and saw that Landry was dancing with one of my employees. He's getting over that breakup faster than I thought he would.

I made my way to my office and opened the door. I grabbed my phone off of the bed and sat down.

I looked through my contacts for a while before finding the person I was looking for. Kameron. I clicked his name and texted him.

Hey I was wondering if u wanna go to a party with me?

'Sure I would love to when is it'

April 5-8 and I can only bring 1 person

'And you chose me?'

Yeah of course I would

I woke up to someone knocking on my door. I groaned as I got out of my bed and opened the door. Kameron rushed into my room before I could say anything. He sat on my bed and looked at me head to toe. I was wearing a blue tank top that was a little tight and a pair of shorts that went about mid-thigh. I crossed my arms over my chest because I wasn't wearing a bra. I just woke so I didn't have any time to put one on. I blushed lightly as I watched him stare.

"So, Kam, what do you need?"

"Uhm.. What kind of party is Taylyn having because I need to know what to wear?"

"Costume??"

"Yep. You better find a good costume."

He laid down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I sat down beside him. I felt him looking at me but didn't look back. I let out a small scream when I suddenly felt 2 hands on my waist pulling me down.

When I looked up, I saw Kameron staring at me. He amazing electric blue eyes and pitch black hair.

"I know you read my letter, Aurora."

I nodded. I was going to ask him about that on the trip because I knew we could be alone without the threat of someone interrupting. I gulped as he leaned in so that his face was only about an inch away from mine.

"Aurora, we both know I love Alex but he's not the one for me. You are, Little Red."

I stared straight into his eyes as he said his nickname for me. I was his Little Red or Red because my favorite color was red and during sunrise and sunset my eyes would look like they had red flecks in them. He was my Wolfy because he loves wolves so much and because I couldn't come up with anything better.

He leaned in closer, about to kiss me when there was a loud knock at my door.

"Guys, breakfast is ready. Hurry before I feed it to the dog."

Kameron sighed as he got off of the bed and headed to the door. Alex had just ruined his chance. He stood at the door for a minute before staying inside the room. I sat up as he sat in my favorite chair.

I quickly got up and walked to my drawer and pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a 30 Seconds To Mars shirt.

I went into the bathroom since Kameron was still in the room and got dressed. When I came out, he was still sitting there waiting on me.

"Let's go eat. Alex doesn't kid around feeding our food to Charlie."

He opened the door and walked out. I was right behind him so I closed the door before walking down to breakfast.
