Damion stepped through the gates of heaven, his gear in hand. Nobody knew why he had been called to heaven on such short notice but one thing was certain; something big was going to happen. Damion located Gabriel's pffice and sat in one of the two chairs positioned along the wall. He was the only one present for the time being, he wasnt excited or pleased to assigned to a quest on such short notice. He crossed his right leg over his left and politely waited, examining the office decorations as he did so. After about 15 minutes of waiting a tall man with long golden hair and a well trained figure entered and sat behind the desk. Was this gabriel? This isnt how Damion imagined him. The man rested his black battle-grade boots on top of the desk and leaned back in his chair. Damion stared in mild disgust. '𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑢𝑛𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑓𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙' he thought. The man stared back. His eyes were a mesmerizing emerald green. Kind yet stern, sharp like daggers, yet welcoming. A smirk spread across the mans face and removed his feet from the desk.
"See something you like?" He asked. Damion scoffed and picked up a book and pretended to read. The man's smirk turned to a disappointed frown. He stood and approached Damion. He held his hand out.
"My name is Anthony, Anthony Calaway." He said. Damion peeked over his book and looked at Anthony with a slight hint of interest. He sighed and shook Anthony's hand
"Damion." He said. Anthony sat next to him and adjusted his hair to his liking. The door swung open, in stepped the man of the hour. The archangel Gabriel. He sat in the chair Anthony was in just moments before and smiled.
"Hello and welcome. I'm sorry for the wait. You're both here because we need two of our most trusted people to do this quest. An angel has been captured, we dont know who has them or where they are. You two are out most vigilante, trustworsthy assets-" before gabriel could finish Anthony stood
"You can leave it to us sir! We wont let you down!" He said. Damion shook his head and sighed. He was really going to be stuck with this egotistical lunatic? Gabriel smiled.
"I love the enthusiasm but please, for the love of all things holy, please stop interrupting people." He said. Anthony quickly sat back down.
"My apologies sir." He said. Gabriel handed them both a photo of the missing angel and their last known location. As Damion observed Anthony stood, heels and toes together, his right hand over his chest and his right positioned at his back. His chin at a 10° angle, and his back straight. Another man had walked in. He had long black hair and was significantly taller than Anthony.
"Relax soldier." He said. Anthony relaxed and sat in his chair. The man stood next to gabriel and nodded at Damion who nodded back.
"Damion, what do you say? Will you do it?" Gabriel asked. Of course Damion wanted to help, but he hated the idea of being stuck with that peice of work sitting next to him. He looked at Anthony out of his peripheral vision then sighed.
"I'll do it"
