Chapter 4

Lia and Chaeryeong are in Felix's party and there's a lot of kids in there. There's loud music thumping, drunk teenagers swimming by the pool, there's high kids probably somewhere too. "So, Lia. Why didn't you bring your friend, what's her name?" said Jaemin

"Oh yeah, why didn't you take her? She's quite cute you know" Minju asked

"Ryujin? Cute? Right" said Lia chugging the bitter drink

"It's better like this, Lia's the hottest in the house. No competition" said Soobin who was seating next to Lia "Ain't that right, babe"

"Excuse me, bitches but in case your forgetting it's my birthday. So, I'm the Queen. Lia darling give this day to me" said Felix

"By the way, are you two a thing yet?" Beomgyu asked Soobin and Lia

Soobin grinned at Lia "Well, I'm just waiting for her"

"No, we're not" said Lia removing Soobin's arm around her

"Why not?"

Ryujin's face flashed before Lia's eyes and realized she can never be with Soobin because she already have a fiancé. And if her dad finds out, he'll freak. Her friends doesn't know her relationship with Ryujin yet.

"Yeah, Lia. Why not?" asked Chaeryeong leaning closer to her boyfriend

Lia was put on the spot "Well, I'm an old romantic" she explained

"What does that even mean?" asked Soobin

"It means, she wants you to work for her" Chaeryeong explained

"Work?" asked Soobin

"Ugh... you're so stupid. She wants to be wooed" Felix explained "I like that! Beomgyu how comes you never wooed me?"

"Do people still do that?" Soobin asked "I mean, that's for like old people and shit. But if that's what you want then, everything for you"

Hours later and the group already had a couple of drinks and they're now tipsy "Lia, it's late. I think we should go" Chaeryeong asked her friend

"What?! You're such a party pooper. I'm still enjoying" replied Lia taking another sip form her drink

"Yeah, Chaer. We're still having fu—" Felix threw up breaking the mood.

Minutes later and guests started to leave "Where's Soobin? I though he's driving you home?" asked Chaeryeong but Lia was blacked out. Her boyfriend had to leave early so, there's no one to drive them back and her phone died. "Give me your phone" she said and called someone.

Meanwhile, Ryujin woke up from her sleep when she heard her phone ring. She's in her study so, she was confused at first "Hello?" she answered. She checked her watched and saw it's 4 am.

Minutes later she arrived in the address and saw Lia and Chaeryeong by the pavement "Hey, sorry to call you but you were the first one I saw on her phone. I don't know where she lives now, so"

"It's ok" Ryujin replied and helped the other girl get in the car. "Do you need a ride home?" she asked Chaeryeong

"It's ok" the girl replied "I called for an Uber already" When they got back Lia was still asleep and she wreaked from the scent of alcohol. Ryujin carried in her bedroom and laid her on the bed "hey, wake up. You need to change"

The girl just groaned at her making Ryujin sigh

"Why do you drink too much when you know you have low alcohol tolerance?" Ryujin whined and went to the bathroom to get a towel and water. "Hey, can you at least seat up?"

To her surprise Lia was still responsive and tried to get up. So, now she's leaning on the headboard "If you peek, I will kill you" she warned quietly

"Peek at what?" Ryujin joked earning a smack from the other girl

"Just hurry up, I want to go to sleep" said the girl and closed her eyes. Ryujin started to take of the girls' clothes and now she's only on her underwear. She gulped at the sight of the other girls' body. "I look hot, aren't I?" Lia teased

"You wish. I'm hotter" Ryujin replied, 'Literally hot right now, who turned the temperature up?' She continued wiping the girl but then Lia suddenly vomited on Ryujin. "You're such a pain, you know that?"

So, she carried the girl to the other bedroom, her bedroom because she was too tired to carry her downstairs to the other guestrooms.

"I swear if you puke on my bed" said Ryujin but Lia was already knocked out. So, she finished cleaning up the girl, the other room and had to take another bath. She emerged from the bathroom and saw Lia laying soundlessly on her bed

'Hmm... she's actually cute sometimes' she thought. She didn't realize she was kneeling on the floor now beside Lia.

She tucked a strand of hair on the other girls' ear "You know you haven't changed that much since we were kids" she said softly

She studied the girl's face, her long curled eyelash, her cute nose, and her kissable pink lips.

"You're still that reckless and bratty Lia. Ever since we were kids, I was always being the one taking care of you. I'm sorry I left though" she paused when she heard a small noise coming from Lia

She smiled reminiscing the memories her and Lia had when they were kids. Like running down the rice fields, playing house, or having sleepovers. They've always been inseparable, but Ryujin and her family had to move.

"I'm sorry for leaving you back then, but I'm here now. And I will do everything to make you happy"

She took one final glance at the sleeping girl and pecked her forehead

"I hope you can forgive me" she said standing up still looking at the girl "I love you so much"
