The Tale of Nymue the Niseag Ch 9
[Chordoni Waterfalls] It had been two weeks since Nymue arrived at Chordoni Waterfalls and convinced Vivian to teach her how to use magic. When she and Lea weren't practicing magic, they would sing and play duets while Vivian and her friends would listen. Today, Lea was heading back to the Giant Tree, her friends Subeta and Crisis were on their way to pick her up. From what Lea told Nymue, Subeta was a highly adventurous and risk-taking Canopy fairy who loves going on adventures and finding treasure. And Crisis was a giant naga and Léa's best friend.
"Take care o' yersel', lea. Ah, how tae see ye again." Nymue said as both she and her new human friend waited for Subeta to arrive. Lea smiled at the giant Niseag and said. "I'll certainly remember the song that you taught me, what was it called again?" Nymue smiled and shook her head. "Tis cried th' Song o' th' Sea. Do ye want to sing it while we wait for Subeta?" Lea smiled and nodded. "I would love to hear it too Nymue, you and Lea have lovely singing voices," Vivian said as the giant sorceress Naga slithered toward them. Nymue nodded and swam to the rocks where she placed her bagpipes and begin to play the Song of the Sea while Lea sang like an angel.
[Lea singing Song of the Sea by Nolwenn Leroy]
"Hush now, mo stóirín
Close your eyes and sleep
Waltzing the waves
Diving in the deepStars are shining bright
The wind is on the rise
Whispering words
Of long lost lullabiesOh won't you come with me
Where the moon is made of gold
And in the morning sun
We'll be sailingOh won't you come with me
Where the ocean meets the sky
And as the clouds roll by
We'll sing the song of the seaI had a dream last night
And heard the sweetest sound
I saw a great white light
And dancers in the roundCastles in the sand
Cradles in the trees
Don't cry, I'll see you by and byOh won't you come with me
Where the moon is made of gold
And in the morning sun
We'll be sailingOh won't you come with me
Where the ocean meets the sky
And as the clouds roll by
We'll sing the song of the seaRolling
Rolling
Rolling
RollingOh won't you come with me
Where the moon is made of gold
And in the morning sun
We'll be sailing freeOh won't you come with me
Where the ocean meets the sky
And as the clouds roll by
We'll sing the song of the seaGrá go deo"
As Lea was singing and Nymue played her bagpipes, Vivian saw a familiar flickering zipping through the trees. The wise Naga smiled as she saw her two friends Subeta and a certain blonde giant Naga with blue eyes and a teal blue tail. "Hi Vivian, we're here to pick up Lea." Crisis said in her usual upbeat mood. "Yeah, Lea and I have some exploring to do... WOW! Is that a Nisaeg?!" Subeta said as she looked towards Lea and Nymue. Nymue turned and gasped in amazement as she saw Subeta, she had heard stories about fairies from her father, but she'd never seen one up close before. Subeta was five feet tall with fair skin, long orange hair, black eyes, and dragonfly wings on her back. Nymue noticed that the fairy was wearing a straw hat, a green string bra, brown shorts, and a brown glove on her left hand. While Nymue was examining Subeta, the highly adventurous fairy examined the giant Nisaeg. Subeta had heard of them from sailors that she had eaten or by some of her mermaid friends. She does towards Nymue and landed on the giant sea predator's back. "Hello there, my name is Subeta." She sounded as if she was aged around sixteen even though she's older. Nymue smiled and extended her finger. "Nice tae make yer acquaintance, Subeta. A'm Nymue."
