"I like you, Chaeyoung."

Chaeyoung was staring at her with an unreadable expression so Lisa quickly averted her gaze to somewhere else. The grass was looking pretty interesting.

"You like me? As in you like me more than a best friend."
"Yeah, Chaeng." Lisa chuckled nervously. "I like you more than a best friend."

Chaeyoung said nothing more so Lisa forced herself to snap her gaze up." Look, I get it if you don't-"

"Oh my god! Lisa,I like you too! I like you more than a best friend too!" Chaeyoung exclaimed with the biggest smile on her pretty face.
"Wait, what? Wait. I-" Lisa blinked. "You-you do?"

Chaeyoung nodded excitedly." I do. I do. "
"Oh my god..." Lisa was surprised at first. Then she was happy. No, she was more than happy. She felt elated. She felt like running around screaming in joy. She felt like rushing home and giving all the love letters she wrote to Chaeyoung but never had to the courage to give her.

But first she just grinned and did something that she had been wanting to do since forever.
She grabbed Chaeyoung's face and kissed her.

And it was the best feeling ever. Lisa didn't think to would get even better but it did. Chaeyoung kissed her back. Chaeyoung! The girl she loves is kissing her back and Lisa felt so many butterflies went wild in her stomach.

All track of time was lost and when their lips parted, Lisa knew she found her favorite thing to do.

And she had a feeling Chaeyoung thinks the same too because Chaeyoung pulled her in for a second kiss. This time, they only parted when their lungs screamed for oxygen.

Lisa wrapped her arms around Chaeyoung's stomach and lifted her off the ground.
Chaeyoung yelped in surprised and she instinctively wrapped her legs around Lisa's body.

They both smiled at each other again.
"Rosie likes me too! Rosie likes me too!" Lisa exclaimed happily as she spun around and around.

Chaeyoung just laughed and enjoyed the feeling of Lisa holding her.

Jisoo stepped out of the haunted house just in time to see Lisa spinning Chaeyoung around and yelling "Rosie likes me too!"

Jisoo's jaw dropped a little. Her plan worked. It actually worked.

Jisoo was feeing a swirl of emotions right now. First, disbelief.  Because she had to admit she was only like seventy five percent confident about her plan. Second, she was feeling victorious. Finally, she was happy. Really happy. Because her best friends look really happy and her favorite unofficial couple just became official.

Her happy mood escalated a lot higher when she spotted her girlfriend walking toward them.

Jennie decided she won enough stuffed animals for today and decided to wait for her girlfriend and her two best friends in front of the haunted house.

She was on her way there when she noticed Jisoo running over her.
Jennie grinned and waved at her.
When Jisoo didn't slow down,Jennie knew what was about to happen.
She quickly let go of the handle of the wagon she was pulling and extended her arms out.

Seconds later, Jisoo rushed into her arms. Jennie securely wrapped her arms around her girlfriend and lifted her off the ground.
Then, she placed a kiss on Jisoo's neck and watched her cheeks go red. That was something Jennie loves to do.

Jisoo would run into her arms. They would hug for a second before Jennie lifted Jisoo off the ground. Then she would kiss Jisoo's neck because she loves the way her cheeks always become the shade of a tomato whenever she kissed one particular spot. Then next, Jisoo would lean down and gently kiss Jennie on the lips.

It was their thing. They usually do this whenever they haven't see each other for a long time. Or when the one of them was rushing to the other with really good news. Jennie assumed this time it was the latter.

After Jennie put Jisoo down, Jisoo wasted no time to tell the big news.
"Babe, my plan worked!"
Jennie's eyes lit up with surprise and happiness." It did?"
Jisoo nodded enthusiastically."It did! It did! Lisa was spinning Chaeyoung around and yelling she likes her too."

Jennie's face spilt into a grin." Oh my god, this is fantastic! I am so happy for them!"
"Me too! Me too! We can finally go on that double date!"
"Yeah!"
"This is so fantastic!"
"Yeah!"

Jisoo hugged Jennie again. One, she was really happy. Two, her girlfriend gives the best hugs in the world.

That's when Jisoo noticed a toy wagon behind Jennie. Her eyes slightly widened when she saw a mountain of stuffed animals on there.

"Umm, babe, are these all yours?"
They let go of each other from the hug and Jennie glanced at the pile of toys. "Uh huh." She nodded proudly.
"Wow. Oh my god. I mean I never doubted you because you are a fantastic shooter but wow. That's a lot. It's like a mini stuffed animals mountain."

"I know." Jennie beamed with pride.
"Where did you get the wagon?"
"That? Oh I traded it with a little boy for four small stuffed animals and a big gorilla
plushie."

"Half of these are for you." Jennie gestured at her prizes." And I won a duck plushie for Lisa and a chipmunk plushie for Chaeyoung too. Oh, speak of the devil. There they come."

Chaeyoung and Lisa made their way to Jennie and Jisoo with soft, shy smiles and entwined hands.

"Hey, guys." Lisa greeted.
"Hey." Jisoo greeted back with a smirk. "So, are you guys like... official?"
"Well,we are going out on a date tomorrow. And hopefully she will go out on more dates with me after that date." Lisa said modestly.
Chaeyoung teasingly rolled her eyes."Don't be ridiculous, Lis. You know I will go out on a hundred dates with you."

This time, it was Jennie who teasingly rolled her eyes." Oh just be girlfriends already."
Chaeyoung and Lisa shared another one of their looks.
Jisoo and Jennie immediately knew then that it wouldn't be a long wait for them to see Chaeyoung and Lisa as girlfriends.

"Hey, anybody hungry yet? I could use some caramel apples. Or maybe hot dogs." Chaeyoung said.
"Sure, let's go get dinner. It's on me." Jisoo said.
"But we lost the bet." Lisa informed her.
"But you guys finally confess to each other. And for that, let's celebrate with some unhealthy food. My treat!"

Here's fun fact about this story that nobody asked for.
Originally, this was called "haunted houses bring couples together". It was the title that came up when the prompt first came to me. And I really loved that title and it stuck around before I changed my mind. I thought the title might didn't make sense or be accurate.

By the time, I realized that the title might make sense and be accurate, Halloween was already typed as a title for the book cover. And I do like the title "Halloween" too so I was like why not.

Anyway, I tried my best with the writing and sure there are still are improvements needed. But oh well practice makes better.

Also, I know the haunted house in this story is probably way too high budget and maybe impossible but for the sake of the plot, let's just say it's possible lol.
