EXT. FISHING BOAT - DAY
(Meggy, Auri, and Whisk are fishing in a boat. The scene seems peaceful as we get a nice look at them complete with relaxing music. Then suddenly-)
Meggy: Wow, this is boring.
Auri: Fishing not really your thing, supervisor?
Meggy: No no, it is. When there's actually something to catch. I haven't had a bite in 2 hours.
Auri: (Auri pulls up a tire right at that moment) Mm....maybe you're right. Hey Debra! Think you can row us over that way?
(Whisk has been silent this entire trip, and a little bit shaky.)
Meggy: Uh...Debra? You okay?
Whisk: Oh.... me? I'm doing... well... just fine, I'm just hoping there's a bunch of fish for all of us...hehe.
Meggy: Hmmm. Maybe we need more bait. I'll get some.
Auri: Not so sudden you'll rock the boa- (Meggy gets up right away, causing the boat to rock and for Meggy to fall back on Whisk, sending her overboard.)
Auri: Uh oh.
(Seconds later Whisk pops up splashing around)
Whisk: AAAAAAAA, SOMEONE HELP, I CAN'T STAND THE WATER, AAAAAAAAAA
Meggy: DEBRA! CALM DOWN! STOP SPLASHING!...YOU'RE SCARING THE FISH!
Whisk: AAAAUUUUGGHH I CAN'T, I CAN'T STAND THE WATER GAAAAAAHHHH!!
Meggy: Auri, help me pull her up...
Auri: On it, supervisor!
(They try pulling on Whisk)
Meggy: Debra calm down! We can't pull you up if you keep splashing- GAH!
(Both Meggy and Auri get pulled overboard. They come up.)
Meggy: Great...there goes all our fish!
Auri: Don't worry, supervisor! We can come back later. Let's just get Debra to shore first. C'mon. (Meggy and Auri pull on Whisk each with one hand as they try paddling to shore. She's still panicking.)
INT. AURI'S HOUSE - DAY
(Meggy comes out of the restroom, seeming to be in a fresh change of clothes. Auri is standing outside waiting for her.)
Meggy: Ahhh...that's better.
Auri: Dry and ready for duty! (He looks around) Where's Debra?
Meggy: She locked herself in the room after we came home.
Auri: Hope she's okay.
Meggy: She's fine, Auri. Just a little afraid of water, that's all.
(She and Auri go upstairs to the room that she shares with Whisk. She knocks and then opens the door.)
Meggy: Hey Debra, feeling be-? ._.
(There's 3 or 4 heaters in the room all pointed at Whisk, who's wrapped in a towel and under a blanket like she's hiding from a snowstorm.)
Auri: I dunno, something tells me she's very afraid.
Meggy: I don't get it. (She sits by Whisk) I get that you were a cat but water can't be THIS traumatizing for you, can it?
Whisk: Well....it's kind of a long story...
Auri: Well, we're open if it helps you feel better. (He sits on the floor getting ready as Meggy sits on the bed.)
Whisk: (Sighing) Alright...It all happened a long time ago, when I was just a young little kitten.... (Cutaway to Whisk as a kitten, curled up and sleeping peacefully on a beach. Suddenly, someone walking by sneezes, causing Whisk to wake up and go flying into the ocean, she panics splashing around before darting out of the water as everyone around her laughs. Back to the present, Auri and Meggy are listening like they're waiting for more details.)
