InuYasha's POV

"InuYasha! We missed you so much! Where were you?" I turn around and see Sango and Miroku running towards me.

"Hey guys! Where, where's Kagome?" I ask looking around. Sango and Miroku point to a sad looking girl, no, woman staring at a laptop. That is, until my brother, Sesshomaru, walks up. It takes me a moment to realize this woman is Kagome. No, it can't be. This Kagome looks so different from the one I knew four years ago. That Kagome was always happy, even when I was freaking over Kikyo; she had nothing but joyous thoughts and feelings showing through her wide, innocent eyes, a childlike innocence all around her, and her aura was nothing but radiant. Now, she's sad, and those eyes that once held innocence were now haunted by... something, sorrow and anger folded around her like a blanket, and she has two swollen, red handprints across her cheeks that would be huge bruises tomorrow.

"What. Happened." I ask, voice filled with venom and anger. Whoever did this to her would pay.

     "You left." Miroku replies.

"Huh?" I look up at him, my eyebrows furrowed deep in confusion.

"InuYasha, after you left, things just seemed to get worse for Kagome. For a while, she wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, it's like she was a zombie, especially after that car crash. Since then, Kagome's been getting these... headaches. We're not allowed to tell anyone what happens when she gets them but she's on a prescription for them."

"And her parents started fighting, keeping her up, so she'd sneak out every night. Then her dad would get mad and, well." Sango trailed off looking at Kagome. "Usually, she only gets hit once, but today, she hit him back. Threw her against a wall. And that's just this morning." I growl deep inside my chest. She can pretend it doesn't bother her, but I know it hurts. She's come to rely on Sesshomaru for a laugh? What the heck?

     "I see."

"It's best not to talk to her yet." Sango says. I look at her in shock. "She's really upset, InuYasha. Give her a few days."

I can't wait a few days. Leaving with Kikyo was the worst decision I ever made. What did I expect? Her to just forgive me like nothing had happened? Crap, that is what I expected. It's what she used to do. Now... it's like I don't even know her. She's a totally different person. Depressed. Sad. Even worse, she hasn't looked at me once since she came in the room. I really screwed up.

"Now, class, continue working on your stories. InuYasha? Please come here and I'll explain the project we are working on." As I get up to go to the teacher's desk, I feel eyes on me. I turn around hoping they're Kagome's, but they're not. Just some other girl I don't care about. I only care about Kagome. Why couldn't I realize that sooner? It would have saved alot of trouble. Basically, the assignment is just writing a story. I could always write about my past. None of these human teachers would believe it. You'd have to have lived it with me to believe it. I pull out my own laptop that I "acquired" a couple years back. It's been the only way I could keep track of Kagome while I was gone, thank God for Facebook. It's sturdy, slim, and lightweight; perfect for my life. I log on to Facebook and see that Kagome's online. I go to the chat, find her name, and message her.

Me: Hey

Kagome: Go away.

Me: Kagome, I'm sorry. Please let me explain later?

Kagome: Over my dead body.

And with that she signed off. Crap. I gotta fix this.

A/N: Hey! So, I know it's short, but that's just cause I wanted InuYasha to have his own chapter and I've got something coming up in the next chapter to be in Kagome's POV. PLEASE comment and review! Thanks!
