Chapter 3

Samuel didn't know what to say as he was shocked by Kyra's sudden action. After a few seconds, he put his one hand around her and consoled her 'hey everything will be fine...you shouldn't break down as your mom needs your support'. She nodded and distanced herself from him. He was feeling bad seeing Kyra's condition but he was helpless as he went through the same condition a few years back.

A week later, Kyra joined the college again as the project result would be out. Kyra was sure that she would have passed and went towards the notice board to see group marks. She didn't find her name in the group and went to the professor. He informed her 'I have the list and you were not there in any group. Kyra realized that she failed as Samuel didn't include her name while submitting the project. She was disheartened and saw Samuel standing near the notice board. She walked towards him and said 'I was wrong as I really thought that everything would be cool between us' and ran away crying.

Samuel was confused by Kyra's words and saw the notice board project list. He was shocked as he couldn't find her name. He remembered that he has given Kyra's name. He went outside to look for Kyra and clear the misunderstanding between them. He saw her crying, before he could take a step further he saw Richard standing next to her. He was furious to see both of them together. He ignored her and went back to attend the class.

On the other hand, Richard advised her 'you should talk to Samuel because I know about that guy. He is rude but never did something like that. And you only said that he informed you that he has added your name in the list. So he will not lie about such things'. Kyra wiped her tears 'I think you're right. I should go and confront him'. He smiled 'yes, you should'.

She entered the class and before she could say anything to Samuel, Professor entered and asked everyone to settle down. 'You all have done a great job in your first project. I am impressed'. He glanced at Kyra 'but some people haven't taken the project seriously'. Kyra looked away as she didn't know how to explain it to the professor. Kyra went to the staff room as she was called by the professor. She saw Samuel standing there. He was explaining to the professor that he forgot to put Kyra's name. Professor warned him 'Samuel, this is the big mistake, you have done. Next time be careful because it can affect someone's marks.' The professor informed Kyra that he will make changes in her project result soon. They came out, Kyra apologized to him and said 'I misunderstood you. I should have at least asked you'. He rudely replied 'you are so busy with your relationship. How will you clear misunderstanding with anyone?' She confusingly questioned him 'relationship with whom?' He said 'don't act as if you're innocent. I am sure you must have regretted that you hugged me not Richard'. She yelled at him 'you shouldn't judge people like that. And yes, now I regret one thing that I met you' and left.

While walking back home. She started speaking to herself 'why do you have to be so rude Samuel and why do I respond to him so aggressively? Stupid Kyra, you messed up everything. Finally, he was at least ready to have a conversation with me and what I said, I regret meeting him. Uhhhhh...will he ever see my face again? Oh god please do something'. She reached home and took some cookies, sat down on the sofa, and started eating them. Her mom came to her smiling 'what happened dear?' She replied 'nothing'. Kyra's mom grinned 'I know, whenever you're frustrated, you start eating food so fast.' She smiled and lied on her mother's lap 'you know me so well mom. Today I had a chance to be friends with a guy I wanted to but we had a fight and I said something that I shouldn't have'. She patted her head and said 'you're exactly like your dad. You both don't know how to express your feeling for others'. She further added 'but you both know, how to make others happy without any reason'.

Samuel came home and thought about Kyra's words 'does she really regret meeting me? Wait, who removed her name from the project? I have to ask the professor about it'.
