Harry got startled when he heard his aunts voice, turning around he looked up at her tired eyes. "Hi... " he mumbled awkwardly ready to just sprint upstairs. But His eye was still sore, And Petunia noticed. She slowly sat up and knelt down to the floor putting her hand on his forehead.
"You look very pale Harry...and cold "
She mumbled standing up "Im gonna make some Tea" she said helping him up, setting him on the couch. He was sitting up as his aunt wrapped a blanket around him, she then walked over to the kitchen.
It was the middle of the night so it was very quiet, a perfect time to have some warm tea. As he heard the kettle he kept on thinking about Hogwarts, he had just turned twelve and he'd be going back to Hogwarts in a few months. He tightened the blanket around him more as he tried to blink his right eye and-
"Agh!'
He cried as his eye burnt. Petunia immediately noticed this and grabbed a wet towel and rushed over. "Don't open your eye Harry, you'll only irritate it more.. " she mumbled the last part. Placing the wet towel over his eye, his hand keeping it in place.
"I'm so sorry Harry, I'm sorry this happened to you... And how I've been treating you. I was just so filled with rage and jealousy cause of My sister.... Your mother. Our parents were so proud that they forgot about me ".
"And after her death... I just... Couldn't hold it back anymore. That's what made me hate magic cause of those stories, apparently was on that letter when you were left at our doorstep".
"I wish I could take back everything I've- Vernon and Dudley has done to you. But I can't, so hopefully if you want... We can start over?".
Harry smiled slightly " I'd love to start over, but.... There's a problem.. I have to get to Diagon alley- the wizarding shops to get my books for this year". "Wouldn't your friends be coming for you?" she asked
"Oh yeah, they probably will" he said with a wider smile, thinking of his best friends.
"Oh the tea!" Petunia yelped as she stood up, walking to the kitchen. A minute later she came in with two mugs filled with tea. With a little honey in them, setting them on the coffee table she pulled out some cookies to go with it. "Here, I hope this is ok for now. Since you missed dinner cause of... That incident".
Harry smiled slowly taking the wet cloth/towel off of his eye, reached over and grabbed a cup of tea. Petunia had turned on the TV and they watched a movie. Twenty minutes later Harry fell asleep, the empty mug on the table. Petunia laid his head on her lap, wrapped a blanket around the two and fell asleep.
