Chapter 27

Alex's POV

Life has been good for the past few weeks my dads been more of a dad and mom was loving it so much that I might end up with another sibling the way they been going at it just thinking about it makes me want to throw up. I'm doing good I'm school and there's only 3 more weeks till we leave for summer break then after summer break we all graduate

I've been spending a lot of time with Grace she'd come over my house and most of the time I'd go over hers I be at her house so much that you would think I lived there. Im pretty sure there's a good amount of my clothes there too. I was heading to Grace's house I pulled up and parked my car on the side of the road in front of her house. I then grabbed my phone before getting out of the car shoving my keys in my pocket before walking to the door.

I knocked and waited for her to answer and to my surprise a man opened the door. He had hair much like grace's he looked expensive with his suit and Rolex. Who the hell is this I thought to myself.

"Can I help you" the guy said mean mugging me.

"Yeah I'm looking for Grace" 

"And who are you"

"I'm Alex Grace's g-" I started to say but I was cut off by Grace coming to the door. "Good friend she's my friend" friend!? What the hell I thought to myself.

"Well hello then I'm Grace's dad jack how about you com on in" he said with a smile moving to the side so that I can come in. He then shut the door and turned to look at me just then a woman came in she looked just as Expensive probably more. "Who was at the door dear" she said

"Oh it's Just Grace's friend" he said I cringed at the new title I was given. I looked over at Grace but she wouldn't meet my eyes.

"Hi I'm Alex" I said to the woman putting on a fake smile. "Hello dear I'm Cassandra Graces mom will you be staying for dinner" she asked I looked at Grace "No I think I should get going I just stopped by to see Grace" I said not taking my eyes off of her I was pissed.

"Ok dear" her mom said

"It was really nice meeting you guys"

"Likewise" Jack said he smiled and waved bye as I walked out of the door getting back in my car I pulled of as fast and as far as I could. "Friend?! What the fuck" I said out loud then drove over to Taylor's house.

I quickly got out the car going up to the door and knocking on it. Taylor's mom Tracy answered. "Hi Alex you here for Taylor" she asked. "Yes Mrs. Smith is she here" I asked "yes dear she and Zayden are both in the backyard playing basketball you can go back there if you want" she said I nodded and made my way to the backyard where I heard Zayden and Taylor arguing like usual.

"Dude that was a foul you can't do that you suck how are you even on a team" Zayden said I walked up to see Taylor holding the ball under her arm.

"Oh shut up your just a sore loser" Taylor said back

"I quit you suck" he said walking off

"Oh hey Alex" he waved as he passed by me I smiled and Taylor turned around.

"Oh Sup dude I didn't know you was coming over" she said throwing me the ball in which I caught

I held it in my hands as I stared at it "hey you ok" she asked grabbing the water bottle off of the ground and taking a sip. "I- uh I met Grace's parents today"

"That's great why do you look like someone just killed your cat"

"She introduced me as her friend"

"Ooh That's bad"

"I know and she wouldn't even look me in the eyes she stood there looking everywhere but my eyes is she embarrassed of me"

"I mean it don't seem like it she tells anyone at school who checks you out that you belong to her everyone knows you guys are like the it couple there maybe it's something else"

"Like what"

"Like maybe it's just her parents what did they seem like to you"

"Stuck up rich people but at the same time they were really nice"

"That's interesting"

"What do I do" I said plopping down on the back porch.

"Maybe talk to her try and fix whatever it is" Taylor said

"Is that what you do with Kim"

"No every conversation we have end being really short as we end up having make up sex instead"

I laughed "you guys are like rabbits"

"Your one to talk you been over Graces house almost everyday " she said with a smirk I punched her arm "oh shut up" I said shaking my head.

"Now come and shoot some hoops with me I need a better opponent then that LOSER OF A BROTHER OF MINE" she yelled

"I HEARD THAT" Zayden yelled back I laughed these two are really something.
