Jane spent the entire morning as well as forenoon calling any travel companies that resembled an 'old fashioned' travel agency. Where you still had to talk to a human being to book a trip.

Hours went by just to ask if there was a group or booking somewhere, for several people, that had come to New York in the last few days or weeks. In addition, just because the dead were found in Brooklyn, it did not automatically mean that they lived there. They could have lived in Manhattan or Staten Island as well.

There was a group, but it consisted of just five people. According to the travel documents, which Jane had to pick up in person because she had to show her ID to make sure she was actually working for the FBI, the students had arrived three weeks ago.

They were students from France doing their fifth and sixth semesters abroad. Not particularly unusual to do a semester abroad. Many went abroad during their studies to learn about new countries and cultures.

As for all the online bookings, Jane still had to wait. Immigration would compile a list for her of all the people who came to New York and the surrounding area in the last six months and stayed for an extended period of time. With it she would have persons on the list, whom she knew long ago, but at least, she could exclude then a part of them already.

Just in time for closing time, Jane's phone rang, where a Captain Raymond Hold introduced himself to her and took forever to get to the point. In a way too complicated way, the captain of the 99th told her that his team might have something for her and that she should come by.

"We'll have to make a little detour," Keith was greeted by Jane, "Just picking something up."

"If it's quick," Keith replied, but because Jane let out a 'who knows' he perked up, "Where?"
