It had been about three weeks of the two stopping crime, and Hood had to admit that potential he saw inside of her had come blooming to life, she was currently following him to, well she had no idea where. However, at this point the two had built up enough trust in each other for her to not question if it was somewhere possibly dangerous, because knowing Hood, it was definitely somewhere at least semi dangerous.

Come on, hurry up," he sighs, looking behind him at Ali, who was trying her best to keep up while up make sure her weapons were secure, after the break in they'd just prevented.

"This is going to be a very, very dangerous task so I hope you're up with a challenge," he says.

Despite her previous thoughts, her curiosity gets the better of her and Ali can't resist asking.

"Where are we even going?"

"I've already told you, you'll know when we get there," he responds coldly.

"Just trust me, okay? I mean if I'm really supposed to be teaching you how to be a good vigilante you really need to start trusting me more," he orders.

"I am, I do it's just-," he cuts her off.

"Everything I say, everything I do is to make sure that you don't die. And that we can actually do our jobs. This is just one crucial step closer to finding the Joker in putting two bullets right in his head."

"Okay, okay fine," she answers, not wanting to push him further.

"It's cold out. I didn't think it was gonna be this cold, but that doesn't matter. Sometimes I think the criminals come out more so in the cold. Maybe it's because they're so sure that nobody else is out. Or maybe they're just really, really that stupid," he observes.

"After the thugs we've faced I wouldn't be surprised, they're numb enough in the skull to fight you, they probably don't have feeling in their limbs at this point after all those broken bones. Either that or there Freeze's goons," she replies, making him let out a silent laugh.

"Well sure everybody that's part of Mr.Freeze's gang, they're always out, running around, doing their best to steal as much as they can. Just so he can keep his pretty young wife on ice," he sighs.

He can see the emotions run over her face.

"If it were up to me I go ahead and pull the plug on her."

"Jesus Hood," Ali replies.

"That's right. I said it. I'm not ashamed of it. People like Mr. Freeze. Do you have any idea how many people he's killed? Enough. Enough to make me not have sympathy for him. So don't you start to have sympathy for him either. It doesn't become you," he instructs.

"Have you fought him before?"

"Yeah I've, I've fought Freeze a couple of times actually. He...got pretty close to freezing me with his freeze gun," he playfully huffs as he continues retelling the memory of his last encounter with Freeze...before...before he became this thing, whatever he was now.

"I swear I thought my arm was gonna fall off. Fortunately, Batman was there. Like he always is to save the day," he explains, he notices how intrigued Ali seems by the story.

"Accept he's not always there. Is he? Just like the tragedy that hit you. He wasn't there to save me. Now I'm broken."

Before Ali can chime in he sighs, continuing his point.

"You know as much as he wants to say that...I take things too far. He never took responsibility for what I became. Made sure it was The Joker's fault, but it's also Batman's...either way," his voice slightly cracking as flashes of that night try to creep their way to the forefront of his mind before he shakes them away.
